Very much a trend captured in excellent reporting by @WSJ @AnveeBhutani. Kudos to @NefeshBNefesh, who facilitated this summer's record influx. The Jewish Information Bureau, where I am involved shows who they are in this graphic. (JewishVisuals.org)

Curious how no one ever pressed Buffett to explain how Berkshire couldn't retain someone groomed for, and celebrated once hired for, such an important role. Still worth asking what that says about the company's succession planning-- @BeckyQuick @GZuckerman @kryshur @LizClaman ?
Todd Combs, the former stockpicker at Warren Buffett’s Berkshire, has helped allocate around $5 billion of investments from his new perch at JPMorgan. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
This is absolutely ludicrous. They outspent him by 9x...

I feel like Alex Karp doesn’t get nearly enough credit for how boldly he stood with Israel after October 7.
The next day, October 8, Palantir took out a full-page ad in The New York Times:
“Palantir stands with Israel.”
At a moment when most CEOs were saying as little as possible, Karp chose to make his position unmistakable.
And he didn’t stop at words.
Palantir sent engineers to Israel, brought its board to Tel Aviv, and continued supporting Israel’s defense.
That took conviction.
And it paid off! stock is up 1100% in 3 years.

Democrat voter Rabbi Asher Lopatin explains why he’s voting for Mike Rogers:
"Abdul El-Sayed has made one thing very clear. We cannot let him anywhere near the U.S. Senate."
"I am proud this time to support @MikeRogersForMI."
Contrary to lot of other numbers floating out there, this headline is accurate. Stay tuned.

Honored to be published again this week by the good folks at @JNS_org, with some lessons for pro-Israel community post-Michigan. @mwecker @rolltidebmz @RabbiPoupko @ChaskelBennett
Michigan’s lesson for politicians, voters and donors alike is clear: Money matters only when it is combined with a strong ground game. Investing earlier, locally and with an eye toward measurable results can build trust long before campaigns need to call on it.

This is quite a lineup of canvass efforts. FL 25 is going to be a lot closer than most people think, maybe including the incumbent...
Just over one week until Florida's primary on August 18!
We're ramping up with canvasses EVERY DAY through Election Day, 4:00 to 7:30 PM across the district.
Then this FRIDAY at 8:00 PM: join @GenZforChange, @AngieNixon, and @iElijahManley for the CHOMP THE OLIGARCHY rally!
Not surprising to see this. About the same time out from the election, Melat Kiros in Denver also put out a self-commissioned, favorable poll and for the final days rolled out endorsements and momentum to propel her to a major upset. FL 25 could easily go the same way.
NEW POLL: We are in a statistical tie with Rep. Jared Moskowitz — with just 11 days until the election!
🟦 Oliver Larkin: 38%
🟥 Jared Moskowitz: 40%
⬛ Undecided: 22%
We’re leading among likely voters that haven’t cast their ballots. 28% of voters are still undecided. And two pro-Moskowitz Super PACs just dumped in $650K in dark money ads.

It’s not so much about class as it is about education level:
• Abdul El-Sayed won 58.4% of the vote in counties where at least 30% of adults have a college degree.
• Haley Stevens won 51.4% of the vote in counties where less than 30% of adults went to college.
As results continue to come in in Michigan’s hotly contested Senate race, a class divide is emerging.
El-Sayed is performing best in places with higher incomes and education levels — while Stevens is doing better in more working-class areas. politico.com/live-updates/20…
Not a popular viewpoint, but one with much truth in it...
Jewish, pro-Israel, and pro-America voters need a serious wake-up call regarding the fight and environment they are facing. Someone told me last night that they plan to donate to AIPAC to try to stop El-Sayed in the general, and I pointed out that that’s the worst thing they could do if that was actually their goal.
AIPAC spending has a negative ROI at this point. They have to spend ten dollars for every dollar on the other side because opponents use their spending as a cudgel against the candidates they are facing. Understanding how to frame things and what messaging works is important.
Pushing anti-American nonsense wasn’t a winning message for the DSA or the isolationist right. Pushing propaganda on behalf of evil regimes like the Islamic Republic, the CCP, and Moscow wasn’t popular with voters either. Supporting terrorists who want to kill Americans didn't generate great turnout. Open bigotry wasn’t that popular either.
So what did the DSA and their counterparts on the alt-right do? They simply reframed their messaging and rebranded.
They kept the same positions while framing them as “America-first” and pointing to Israel/AIPAC/Jews as the real enemies causing all the distress in voters’ lives.
They reframed the belief that we should oppose these bad forces as somehow distracting from focusing on the interests of Americans.
You can obviously make the factual points that it’s silly to claim military aid that Israel spends on American companies is the reason for any lack of investment elsewhere, or that none of their conspiracies have factual support, or that agents for “Death to America” regimes, the CCP, and Russian TV don’t actually have the interests of Americans in mind. But convincing people of the reality is just very difficult in this low-trust environment.
You have to adjust.
If AIPAC has become toxic, then drop AIPAC. Move on. Spend your money directly on candidates opposing DSA types and other anti-American terror apologists.
Create groups that do the same without the stigma that the above opponents will take advantage of. The brand or term (like “Zionism”) isn’t what matters—the ideas behind them are. Refocus on winning the fights that matter and framing your cause in a way that can be successful.
Our enemies have gotten smarter and found ways to rebrand the same toxic ideas they've pushed for a long time. It's necessary for people who care about these causes to also adjust.

Colorado House candidate Melat Kiros admits she thinks all Jews would have to be expelled from a future Palestinian state if a 2-state solution were in place.
What does she think would happen to the 2 million Arab Israelis?
The wildest part is she goes on to describe one state as more realistic, even though neither Israelis nor Palestinians support that plan.
This is after she claims no one has proposed a plan for a 2-state solution. Plans were proposed in 1937, 1947, 1995, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2014, and 2020.
Israel has accepted many of these proposals. Palestinian leadership haven't. Even when they agreed, the talks were derailed by violent terror groups like Hamas, which vow to kill Jews and murdered 1000+ people on October 7th.
You want peace. That's great. Lying about history isn't the way to get it.
