At 5 pm I had to go into town to collect a prescription @ the Apothecary. Halloween in Woodstock is the night when all the grown-ups get to be kids! 95-year-old “Star Trek” legend William Shatner performed live with his newly formed heavy metal band, THE *UCKERS, for the first time Saturday night at the Riot Fest aftershow at Park West in Chicago, Illinois.
THE *UCKERS feature Marcus Nand on guitar, Phil Soussan on bass, Britt Lightning on guitar, and Fred Aching on drums.
THE *UCKERS are scheduled to perform at the main Riot Fest festival at Douglass Park tonight, September 20.

A favorite activity of ships' cats was stalking seagulls. The 1942 deck log of HMS Gorleston contains the odd entry "Kitten became airborne at 14:30." Sailors had seen their cat Rastus launch a suprise attack on a large gull and then take off clinging to the bird's leg. The gull circled the harbor until Rastus let go and fell into the water. He swam ashore and returned to the ship by walking up the gangway.
