29 people were baptized at @zarephathcc last Sunday. 29 people publicly declared that their life had been forever changed because of Jesus.
One of those people was Markez. He wasn't able to enter the tub because he is on parole and had a monitoring bracelet on. So we baptized him outside of the tub by pouring water over his head. Even though he has a record down here, his slate has been wiped clean up there!
After he was baptized, the auditorium erupted in applause.
Love seeing God radically work in the lives of the people at ZCC! And love hearing the people of God celebrate that work!
On Sunday at @ZarephathCC 29 people got baptized. 20 of them were spontaneous. Praise God!
Each baptism represents a life transformed by Jesus and a public declaration of faith in Him. We are celebrating all that God has done and believing for even more lives to be changed!

I stood on the soapbox that we have the best message to communicate - we can have full life in Christ now and in the life to come - so we should do our best to communicate it!

Harvest Fest at @zarephathcc just concluded.
3 hours of fun put on by 100+ volunteers for 1000+ guests.
Big effort but totally worth it. Because this is our largest outreach of the year. Most people won't attend a service. But most will attend a free fun fall fest!
Big thanks for the incredible volunteers that used their gifts to make a difference. Looking forward to seeing what God does in the lives of those that came to our campus for the first time!

Loved hearing about the faithfulness of God over the years. Proud to have played a small role in the churches history.

Every month I try to grab a meal with an incredible church leader in NJ.
To learn from them, encourage them, brainstorm with them and perhaps even build a lasting friendship along the way. Ministry can be tough. But it doesn't need to be lonely.

Every fall I take a family photo in front of our home. This year, the girls wanted Alex to join. Trying to get him to look forward tripled the photo shoot duration!
I was walking around Princeton recently with Rose.
Grabbed a couple of architectural photos with my phone.
Apparently I’m really drawn to arches.
A trip to Canada requires time with my brother and a visit to Harvey's. Even better when the two are combined.
The girls both entered new schools this year. Scarlet entered middle school. Violet entered high school.
And they are crushing it.
We are so proud of them. And it brings us great joy seeing them to continue growing into the young women God has designed them to be.
Loved seeing the people of @ZarephathCC come on out to encounter God last Friday.
Loved seeing students, seniors and everyone in between worship the same God at the same time.
We hosted two #WorshipNights in 2026 year. They have been so well received that we've planned four come 2027!

I was out shopping with the girls and realized that we looked very fall-ish, so we took a quick family pic.
Scarlet was disappointed that she was disappearing in the first photo, so we reframed it to make her more prominent in the second photo.
Trying to get a couple more fire pit work sessions in this fall before it gets too cold.
The smell and sound of the burning wood invigorates my work. The fire also provides a cutoff time. When it goes out. I'm done.
What is one of your favorite work session locations and why?
I have recently been reading / listening to a number of teaching / preaching books like The Art & Craft Of Biblical Preaching.
If you have any good resources on the subject, please let me know as I'm looking to step up my game.
And yes, I'm only 8% through this book because it is 40 hours long!
Another thanks to those who contributed to the Year-End Christmas Gift last December at @zarephathcc. We updated our Nursing Mothers Room to better serve moms and their little ones.
The room before looks like it was decorated by a dude...no offense dudes. But now it looks like a space designed by a lady for ladies. Again, thank you for your generosity to make these improvements to help us better meet the needs of families.
