Kenosis is the divine agape’s giving of itself to that which is inferior in the ontological hierarchy. The Divine communicates something of its own goodness to that which is lower in order to raise it up. In condescending to that which is lower, paradoxically, the Divine in no way diminishes itself; in giving it loses aught of what it fully possess. This is the nature of true love — to give of one’s own abudnance, to stoop down to that which is lower in order to ennoble it and raise it up.

A law which elevates the foreigner over the native is not a law but an act of war.
Jaxton Tayte Collins, a 21-year-old Montana man, faces up to five years in prison after telling an Indian man to “go back to his country” during an encounter in downtown Helena. Prosecutors have charged Collins with felony malicious intimidation or harassment and misdemeanor assault, although he disputes the allegation that he physically shoved the Indian man. The renewal of the Church will not come from the Orthodox (who are too otherworldly to get their hands dirty and have a history of kowtowing to political power) nor from Evangelical Christianity, which is so worldly it gave birth to secularism. Those are just facts.

The main concern for a local Church should be doing outreach directly in its community, not spending $30k to send 20 members to some other continent

Church itself has become effeminate. It’s not masculine. At all. Therefore it’s breeding effeminate men. Not attractive.
Churches teach men that they are animalistic and women are not human, they are some sort of divine presence. This is a disservice to young men and women. Whenever dating subjects come up in person, I end up feeling bad for everyone involved and would not want to be single again.

Why does it matter whether Samuel Sey is allowed to live in the US or not? His true citizenship is in Heaven.

I was the kid she’s describing. During freshman year the obvious conclusion occurred to me that school wasn't worth the effort. My teachers were nice people with warm platitudes, but they were also consumer-nihilists who had no clue. In English we read literature written for girls and in history we learned all about the evils committed by our ancestors. Class was mostly an exercise in rule-following and boredom management. The only reasonable response was to check out. Only later did I discover, to my shock, that I liked good books, and that there were things worth pursuing, studying, knowing. So in my case (and I'm guessing I'm not alone), public schooling prevented the development of a love of learning.
