Well done brother.... 👍 IAS officer - do you make an appointment to meet me? Man - Kaay ko appointment? Your are a public servant not an HR of any private company that's why I was standing out. We all should do this to every bureaucrat and leader in India. They live on our taxes. They must avoid acting like a boss when in public.

Replying to @hvchhangani
@hvchhangani and I had the honour of meeting Shri @PriyankKharge, Minister of Home, e-Governance, Electronics, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka. Thank you, Sir, for an incredible conversation. We shared our seven-year journey in Bengaluru's tech ecosystem, from building FRND to growing Interact Group, and our work in social discovery, gaming, voice and AI for the Indic language speakers including Kannada
Met the founders of Bengaluru-based Interact Group to learn more about their work in voice-first social technology, gaming and Indic-language AI. Their flagship app, FRND, enables people to connect through voice conversations, games and live interactions in their native languages, including Kannada and several other Indian languages. Had an interesting discussion on the opportunities around regional-language technology, conversational AI and making digital experiences more accessible to a wider audience.

Nicobar looks like the top pick for Diwali gifts this year—and it’s easy to see why! Their items are genuinely lovely and super practical, which is way better than sending random things.

CAQM at this point is chasing stars. Even with GRAP 2, AQI levels have already crossed 450. Why do they keep playing this silly game? Why not just invoke GRAP 4 and get pollution levels under control? What is the need for this back and forth around GRAP1, GRAP2 etc? At what point will they invoke GRAP 4? At what point will someone in the government actually take this seriously? Dust levels in Delhi are through the roof. Very visible dust across roads.
#CAQM invokes Stage-II of #GRAP in the entire #NCR with immediate effect, as #DelhiAQI reaches 324. Citizens are requested to follow the Citizen Charter. For more details, kindly visit: caqm.nic.in/FileUploadDomain…

A bus taking a U-turn across a pitch-dark expressway at 10 PM. With people standing on the carriageway to guide it. Traffic here runs at 100-120 km/h. Once the street lights end, your headlights are all you have, and a bus sitting sideways across the lanes is nearly invisible until you're on top of it. The dashcam driver spotted the hazard lights early and dropped from 90 to 30 km/h. That's the only reason this isn't a crash video. 📍 Near Hasanpur / Garhmukteshwar, UP Would you have stopped in time?

Two additional solutions that may help to solve the persistent traffic nightmare: 1. Even cities with good road networks like Delhi struggle with horrible traffic because of how badly people drive. Lanes being changed every 20 seconds, red lights being jumped, and people driving the wrong side of the road with impunity. This is an enforcement problem. We need: a) A nationwide campaign to educate people on what they can and cannot do. b) Greater presence of traffic policemen to actually implement the law c) An automated camera based system that takes pictures of violators, and challans them without exception. Once people realise they WILL get fined, they will start driving better. After all, Indian drivers manage to follow the rules when they go abroad! 2. Pavements, walking tracks and bike paths to enable better connectivity especially to metro stations. If last mile connectivity improves, then more people will take to public transport. That will eventually enable steps to slash private vehicles, including congestion charges in the big cities. More ideas are welcome!
After the Supreme Court recognised walking as a fundamental right, Indian cities have a moment to rethink what their roads are for. Indian cities don’t just need more roads. They need better road networks. Congestion isn’t only about road width. When links between arterials, secondary roads and local streets are missing, traffic gets forced onto a few corridors. The fix is a shift from a congestion focus to a connectivity focus: complete road hierarchies, closing missing links, planning 10-15 years ahead, and backing it all with strong public transport. @madpai and I explore this in @scroll_in @WRIIndia scroll.in/article/1096692/in…

The reason developers fearlessly flout norms is because they know they can get away with just few thousands of penalty. ₹5000 probably.
What nonsense is this? It's a Dust Storm SOPs for #DustPollutionControl all seem just on Paper.. Watch this blatant Violation of all norms.. What's @mybmc @mpcb_official doing? Delhi GRAP-2 ki aisi ki taisi! 😂😂 by trucks Spotted a truck bearing registration number HR-55 on the Meerut Expressway, near Akshardham, at approximately 11:08 PM tonight. I am surprised that despite strict GRAP restrictions in Delhi-NCR, such vehicles are still being allowed to enter Delhi and contribute to the already alarming pollution levels. What is the point of imposing GRAP-2 restrictions if enforcement agencies cannot stop violations on the ground? @CPCB_OFFICIAL @NGTIndia @dtptraffic @DelhiPolice @CMODelhi @CAQM_Official @DelhiGovt Requesting NGT, Delhi Traffic Police, CPCB, CAQM and all concerned authorities to urgently investigate this violation, verify the vehicle’s compliance and take strict action against those responsible. Delhi cannot afford more pollution because of weak enforcement. Rules must be enforced, not just announced! #DelhiPollution #GRAP3 #AirPollution #DelhiNCR #DelhiTrafficPolice #CPCB #NGT #CAQM #StopAirPollution #CleanAirIsOurRight #PollutionControl

Incessant honking across India's cities and towns, including Mumbai is surely one cause of road rage apart from mental health issues for those who spend longer periods on the road. There are habitual offenders, like two wheelers overtaking from the left, or four wheelers who are more insulated from sounds. What could be a design intervention to reduce honking, via awareness or some other disincentives + incentives ?

As I keep telling people who love Noida's wide roads and greenery, it has the worst water quality, the worst air quality in NCR. The gases from all the open drains destroy your electric appliances too. My society used to have 1100+ TDS in the normal water supply.
Where I live in Noida, the water in taps has 2700 TDS. It's unfit for consumption. Obviously we don't drink that, but we also are unable to use it for anything else. Complaints have failed, no resident is bothered, people are saying install RO in bathroom. Is that a solution?

“Kale Coat Wale Gunde” The Attorney General of India, through @VPIndia and @MLJ_GoI, must seek an explanation on this from the Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, which oversees Delhi Police. Such remarks by an ACP-rank officer are utterly condemnable. The DCP must provide a written response clarifying whether Delhi Police stands by these remarks or considers this an acceptable way to speak about advocates across India!

This ACP needs to be terminated and face legal action as per law . He is instigating the other uniform personnel that tantamount to treason . If he has any concerns he could have raised it internally on record, in writing with his superiors but this theatrics only denigrates the uniform . @HMOIndia
Delhi: Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Manasvi Vashisht and other Delhi Police personnel gathered at Delhi Police Headquarters. ACP Manasvi Vashisht says, "We have placed our demands before the Police Commissioner. He provided us with the meeting that we had requested. However, as we had expected, not many people got the opportunity to speak openly. Nevertheless, we have conveyed our demands to him, and they are being discussed. Some matters need to be resolved today... We had a total of five demands..."

I was looking for a new pair of jeans and somehow Lee came to mind. I used to love Lee. In fact, I've pretty much worn only three jeans brands all my life: Lee, Levi's and Wrangler. But I realised something - I can't remember the last time I walked into a Lee showroom. I hardly see their stores anymore, and even when I look online, the brand doesn't seem to show up much. So I got curious and started reading about what happened to Lee Jeans. Turns out, things haven't been going too well. In 2024, Lee made around $790 million in revenue and $90 million in profit. In 2025, revenue dropped to $750 million and profit fell to about $69 million. That's a 23% drop in profit in just one year. And then I came across another interesting piece of news. In May 2026, Kontoor Brands, which owns Lee, agreed to sell the brand to Authentic Brands Group for up to $1 billion. Interestingly, Kontoor is keeping Wrangler and Helly Hansen but letting go of Lee. I find this quite fascinating. Lee is a brand I've grown up with. It has been around for more than a century. Yet, somewhere along the way, it seems to have lost its visibility and perhaps its connection with a new generation of buyers. I don't know whether it's poor distribution, changing consumer preferences, competition or simply a failure to keep up with the market. But it does make you wonder how many brands we grew up loving are quietly disappearing from our lives. I hope Lee makes a comeback. I'd still happily buy another pair.

I went to France 24 home page expecting to read up on the riots last night and see the police and Macron's response. Instead, I kid you not, the lead story (yes lead) is:- "Indian opposition parties stage mega rally seeking election chief’s resignation." Why on earth would French people be interested in this? The next story is "How far will 'Cockroach' movement go? India's youth-led protests defy Modi government" and "India bans march on parliament by ‘Cockroach’ activists, risking a standoff". Can't see anything on the riots in France on its home page. Absolutely bizarre.
