The past 2 years have seen an increase in available funding for research on structural racism & health, but simply funding this work isn't enough. @michelleko2d discusses improving peer review to strengthen these initiatives: bit.ly/3OAkv65

In new work, @ZParolin and @TVanheuvelen follow men in #PSIDdata for 50 years and find that "spending 100% of your career in a union, compared to 0%, corresponds with over 1 million additional dollars earned by age 65."

Next Monday would have been my first day at @UMichSPH as a tenure-track assistant professor.
But it will NOT be.
I had to walk away from one of the best opportunities any early-career scholars could have. It was a painfully difficult decision, but my husband and I have our reasons, and those are good enough.
I will be continuing to support the missions of @carheUMN and work remotely from NYC. May get back on the market at some point in the future.
Peeps, let’s collaborate, wherever you are in the world (including Ann Arbor).
