Often when I mention that I’m a Jewish believer in Jesus, someone responds with Galatians 3:28:
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
So I have a simple question for those who use this verse that way:
Do you no longer view yourself as male or female?
If “neither male nor female” doesn’t erase gender, why would “neither Jew nor Greek” erase Jewish identity?
Paul is speaking about our equal standing in Messiah, not erasing our God-given identities.

Correct. Boko Haram (Hamas/ISIS in Nigeria) never released the 300 Christian girls it took in 2014. Hamas was never going to release the Israeli women unless forced to do so.
Boko Haram forcibly converted them to Islam, r*ped and impregnated them. Some they sent back as suicide bombers against their own people. To this day, Leah Sharibu refuses to become a Muslim and remains in captivity.
