Today, @currentfriend turns 5. 🥂 Not done celebrating my birthday and now it’s today already On November 2, 2021, this started as a small group of people trying to figure out Web3 together. I had been in this space since 2020, and I knew how confusing and lonely it can be when nobody breaks things down for you. 5 years later, we're 900+ members across seven sub-communities. We've taught people who didn't know what a wallet was, and today they're earning, building, and teaching others. We've hosted campaigns and challenges that put real money in members' pockets. We've shared early access to opportunities many people would have missed. And along the way, this journey earned me a spot among the Global Top 100 Web3 Educators from @opencampus_xyz . That recognition belongs to this community, not just me. But the numbers aren't what I'm proudest of, but to have amazing team members who are ensuring this fire doesn’t go off • @wezzyverse_ • @bigbonchain • @Michael_SKRTV • @JoyTheBUIDLr I'm proudest of the people who showed up on day one and are still here today. I've watched people in this community grow and do lots of things and it’s been a pleasure and am happy about it. Being a small part of that means more to me than I can put into words. All started up as just an airdrop community, we started venturing into skills to backup if the web3 spaces doesn’t workout again, with the educational aspect but now we are moving to the next waves, we had different in house campaigns, classes and many more it’s alot now we hosted our first community IRL this year in March and next one coming next year would be a banger. I won't pretend it was easy. Some days building in this space is exhausting. Bear markets, scams, burnout, moments when I wondered if it was worth it. I still recall my 2024 crisis lost my x handle and many access during then, I almost deleted the community 😂 drop alphas and I won’t be eligible for them where I literally dropped a step by step guide to them or shared by other community members What kept me going every time was you: the messages, the late-night questions, the "this changed my life" notes. To everyone who has been part of Current & Friends, whether you joined in 2021 or last week: thank you. You're not just members. You're family. The next 5 years? More learning. More earning. More access. More wins and we're doing it together. Happy 5th to the best community in Web3. 💙
