The House recently passed my bill, the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, legislation that would help preserve access to AM radio in vehicles. For many drivers, seniors, rural communities, and families during hurricanes or other emergencies, AM radio remains one of the most reliable ways to receive critical information when it matters most. I have been proud to help lead this effort because public safety should never be optional. Families deserve access to emergency alerts, local updates, and reliable communication, especially during severe weather and other times of crisis.

As Jewish families gather to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, I wish all those observing throughout Pasco and Hillsborough counties a peaceful and sweet new year filled with faith, good health, and many blessings. Shanah Tovah!

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken from us and honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders and American heroes who answered the call. We continue to pray for the families who lost loved ones and for all those whose lives were forever changed that day. Long before I ever ran for office, I learned what real public service looks like by watching my father, Michael Bilirakis. He believed serving others was both a duty and an honor, and his devoted work for our community, particularly our Veterans, still resonates today.
