Great thing is this could be about the touchdown pass or the extra point (or both)
Whew that’s a STRIKE.

Sad news about June Jones. Legend is an understatement. The run and shoot was obviously ahead of its time in terms of spread formations and adjustable/read routes by the receivers, but also motions to dictate coverage, tying drops to reads, etc. He'll be missed.

And then I've got a second column on the Jeffery Simmons trade. Teams trading two first-round picks for established veterans in the modern era are batting about 25%. Why haven't those trades lived up to expectations? And can Simmons be the exception? espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5031…

Got two new columns for you today! First is a long look on the running back class of 2025. Who hasn't lived up to expectations? Which mid-round picks are in the middle of a breakout? Where does it stand historically? espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5030…

Given the combo of $$, age, and need to sit out of free agency, I agree. Plus you're getting a pick at the bottom of the third round instead of something closer to the middle and it's a year later. Not saying Nelson won't land a third-round pick, but hardly a lock.
I am not sure that the probability of a 31 year old guard signing for enough money to net a 3rd round comp pick is 100%

Whoa! Didn't have the Seahawks on my radar here given John Schneider's history of scrimping on OL and the presence of Gray Zabel at left guard, but love the Seahawks trying to improve their line.
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

Feels like he gets the ball 100% of the time he lines up in the backfield, which means the Seahawks are going to score a TD this year on a play where JSN starts in the backfield, all eyes are on him, and the ball goes somewhere else
Three plays for Seattle and three targets for JSN. I think anytime he’s on a safety or slot he’s getting the ball.
