When I was a kid working on the hill in ‘91, a bunch of us packed into a couple of buses and went up to Philly to help on the Harris Wofford campaign. My girlfriend (now wife of 27 years) and I were running a phone bank and these two guys came in. 1/
A reminder of why we are all in this game of politics. Forever grateful to @JamesCarville for taking a chance on me in 1988 and hiring me as Political Director of of NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg’s. I learned so much from the Ragin Cajun in that campaign, not just about politics but about life, friendship and loyalty.

One was a weird alien looking guy who just stared at everyone. The other guy was relentlessly slamming a baseball into a mitt he was wearing. We were trying to figure out how to get ahold of building security when an another staffer told us they were running the campaign. 2/

Whenever I see @JamesCarville or @PaulBegala on TV, I always chuckle to myself. Almost called security on two of the greats. They the Wofford special. And the clip above was only one year later.

Marist's new Maine poll (@maristpoll): Jackson +9 among registered voters, +2 among likely voters. Pingree's 11-point lead becomes a tie. I went through the crosstabs and Marist's other October state polls. White paper at the end of this thread. 1/7

Bottom line: consistent with herding toward the Senate average, not proof. The data can't tell deliberate tuning from an undisclosed weighting step such as a party-ID target. Either way, these likely-voter toplines add little beyond the averages. 6/7

Full paper, with data and methods: drive.google.com/file/d/1Mc4…. It ends with six questions for @maristpoll. If they share details of their likely-voter weights, I'll update the analysis. Also, I used @AnthropicAI's Opus 5.5 model for analysis and math computation. 7/7

After all of the hate and vitriol that Megyn Kelly has spread over many years against women like Michelle Obama,Blake Lively, Amber Heard, Meghan Markle, Cornell Jane Doe and many others . Megyn Kelly has finally met her match and dare I say it, she deserves it. Karma is a bitch. newsweek.com/man-behind-corn…
