Had a wonderful day visiting Decherd Elementary today with my planetarium. They are so proud of their STEM designation. You have to pass by it to enter the school. @theTSIN @STEMignites

OTD 54 years ago, Apollo 11 crewmembers became the first human on the lunar surface. Watching this from our little farmhouse, I knew I was going to work at NASA– although no one around me thought that was a good idea. It took a while, I had a grand life due to one small step.

Summer is almost here, no matter the temp. We’re halfway through 2023 and the summer solstice marks the astronomical start of summer. The summer solstice takes place on Wed, Jun 21, 2023 9:57am CST. Contrary to popular belief, the solstice is a moment and not the entire day.

54 years ago, I was a lad in a rural setting, but daydreaming I could do anything. The best proof was while setting on a cold floor in front of a TV on Christmas eve, I listened to the Apollo 8 astronauts describe what they were seeing as we visited our moon for the first time
