A lot of Caribbean adoption is very informal. Someone has a child that they can’t take care of, and the child goes to live with a cousin/ aunty/ neighbour/ older couple with fertility issues who can take better care of them.

What’s sad is that I see a bunch of people piling on him or saying this why people shouldn’t have kids. Unfortunately it may take you having kids to see what was normal in your childhood isn’t normal. You can’t heal what you don’t know has affected you. Healing is a life long thing.
