New weight room coming along really well. Fired up to get started this coming week.
Inaugural team meeting on Monday.
Great post Rick. This resonates with Carteret CC starting up our program in August. – at Atlantic Beach, NC
The experience of starting a new program at @LycomingCollege has completed its first cycle. The 21 seniors who were part of the first cycle for @LycoBaseball graduated this May. I asked them two reflect on two things:
If you could go back in time and tell your younger self one thing before your first day at Lyco, what would it be?
What advice would you give the 21 incoming guys based on your experience?
I thought their responses were worth a share. If you're entering college next month as a ballplayer or athlete in another sport, some of these can help improve your mindset/approach...
New locker room starting to take shape. Carpet, paint and lighting this past two weeks.
It's getting real and have more surprises to come.
If they would leave a 3/8" to 1/2" lip on the front of the rubber for the pitcher, the pitcher doesnt have to dig to use the rubber properly.
Also, holes mainly come from poor moisture content in the clay, which hurts your ability to pack it tight enough to not dig out.
I know a guy that would have the smoke rolling across the field during the game. @Josh_Baker04

Mourning w/the baseball community on the passing of Lantz Wheeler. Always willing to talk pitching and answer questions. Passionate, smart, innovative baseball teacher. Truly good person who loved the art of pitching and helping players/coaches of all ages. Prayers for his family
