I managed to get this video after the judge’s assessment My mystery box had yam, plantain, potatoes, and other things, and we were asked to make use of 3 ingredients from it with any other ingredients or aromatics of choice from the pantry. So, I made yam and potato croquettes with sweet garlic pepper sauce. The yam balls are stuffed with pan-seared minced chicken that I seasoned with black pepper and salt. Judges said it added a nice surprise. To make the balls, I cooked and mashed my yam and potatoes, flattened it, stuffed it with minced chicken, rolled it all up, and then dipped it in egg mixture, coated it in flour, went in the egg mixture again before coating it with breadcrumbs and deep-frying it. For presentation, I made a bed with the really sweet garlic sauce that I had already reduced. Overall, the judges liked it, and I tasted it and loved it. Anyways the verdict is tomorrow, then i would know if i am moving on to the next stage of the competition I am confident that i would😊
