2026 is the year I finally make it to Cannes! Excited to be attending the fest for the first time; any recs and, more importantly, any housing leads (May 15-20).

I moderated a lovely chat yesterday for the @latimes Festival of Books! Despite a torrential downpour, people still showed up for queer Latine memoirs. Thanks to @bmanuel, @Vanessid and Edgar Gomez for telling their stories 🌹

This was such a great conversation; one of my favorite Backstage features I’ve gotten to do.
Happy birthday, Elizabeth Olsen! We love how she describes her relationship to fellow actors. Revisit our 2021 cover story here: bit.ly/4hCbtko

I am so proud of these two books, one on intimacy, one on masculinity, which have helped me grow as a writer and a critic. On days when I feel like I should be doing more, writing more, making more… I’m happy I can turn to my shelf and beam at these accomplishments, at least.
