The American people are paying for this because those Salvadoran soldiers are proxies of the US government and military, and as they land on Haiti to occupy it, the US gov't has ICE and DHS nazis harassing and threatening Puerto Ricans on their own land.
One of two Honduran charter airplanes that has been ferrying troops from El Salvador to Haiti over the last week. The other charter company involved is Ecuador-based. Still unclear who is paying for all this ...

Piers Morgan: "The UN says settler violence is at an all-time high. Do you support it?" Daniella Weiss: "I'm against violence. The Hilltop Youth are the wall that protects Israel. They are courageous." Piers: "So you do support the violence?" Weiss: "No! Jews are not violent! The settlers are not violent!" Piers: "Actually, they are being violent. They're waging terrorism." Weiss: "No. They are courageous." You can't make this up. She literally admitted to supporting the "courageous" settlers who are rampaging across the West Bank, and then denied that the violence is happening at all

Stunning piece about yet another old-guard, high-level, billionaire supporter of Israel who has lost faith in it - and in Netanyahu. "Ronald Lauder has never lived in Israel. But in the past year the Jewish billionaire, who serves as president of the World Jewish Congress, has given up his remaining properties in the country, a sign of the deep shift in his views of its future. A deep sense of disgust appears on his face as he recounts this. "I've sold my apartment in Tel Aviv, I gave my home in Be'er Sheva to the Jewish National Fund, of which I'm also the chairman. I basically cut my ties there. Because it has become so…," Lauder grimaces, making a gesture of vomiting. He goes on to blame Israel for failing to make peace, explaining that Israel actually didn't want peace: "I realized at the end of the day that Israel really didn't want peace, but they wanted dominance. And I walked away from it." "You've lost the Democratic Party, and you're losing the Republican Party. And it's all because of foolishness on your part. I want to tell Israelis, 'Shame on you! Shame on all of you. Your fathers and your grandfathers fought for this place, and you're losing it because of foolishness. Period.'" I think this reflects the view of many who fought to establish Israel/supported its creation, but at the same time believed in peace. Perhaps an unjust peace, clearly a peace on Israel's terms - but a peace nonetheless. But Israel has long swapped dominance and control for peace, and it has taken quite some time for many of its original supporters and champions to realize it - and admit to themselves the direction Israel actually is going in. haaretz.com/israel-news/elec…

His brother rang 911 because he was having a mental health crisis in the snow and needed help. The police put a mesh hood over Daniel Prude's head and held him face down on the road. His brother spent the rest of his life saying he had called them. Rochester, New York. 23 March 2020, around three in the morning. It was freezing. Daniel Prude, forty-one, was in acute psychiatric crisis. He had been taken to hospital earlier that night and discharged. He left the house with no clothes on. His brother Joe Prude called the police. He said afterwards that he called because he wanted his brother taken somewhere safe. Officers found him in the street. He complied. He was handcuffed, naked, in the snow. He began spitting, and officers placed a spit hood over his head — a mesh bag used to stop detainees spitting. He became distressed. Officers pushed his head down against the road and held him there while another pressed on his back. He stopped breathing. He was resuscitated and taken to hospital, and died a week later. The city did not release the footage. The family obtained it months later through a public records request and released it themselves in September 2020 — by which point the medical examiner had already ruled the death a homicide, with the restraint listed as a cause. A grand jury declined to indict any officer. The police chief resigned. The city later paid a settlement. And then the thing that gives this post its weight. Joe Prude has said publicly that he will never forgive himself for dialling those numbers.** He called for help for his brother and his brother came home dead. That is what this whole day is about. Not whether police behaved lawfully. It is about what happens to a family that is taught, once, that calling for help is a thing you can get your brother killed by doing. They do not call the next time. And the next time is somebody's child. A family should never have to live with the fear that asking for help could cost someone their life. This is why we confront the stories that demand answers and must never be forgotten. Hi, I'm free. Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over. Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc. It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault. The gate is still locked.

Btw, @infinite_jaz and I are free only thanks to @asapir
I am alive and free. Settlers tried to kill us because we caught them locking several Palestinian communities from leaving their homes - very illegally, even by Israeli occupation's laws. I'm concussed and very tired, so I'll tell the story tomorrow.

Palestinian families were forced from their homes, soldiers took over residential buildings, and the military demolished structures. Following the shooting near Hebron on Friday, 23 October, in which two Israeli soldiers were killed, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz declared Israel's intention to forcibly displace Palestinians and carry out extensive destruction in the area. This is a campaign of collective punishment. Between 23 and 26 October, Israeli forces forcibly displaced Palestinian families from their homes in the Jildah and 'Ein Deir Bahah neighborhoods, and soldiers took over numerous homes, flying Israeli flags over several buildings. The arrest and interrogation of residents continued on Saturday. As of Monday, 26 October, the Hebron Municipality reported 518 displaced families, comprising 3,368 people, including 1,384 minors. The mass displacement and destruction carried out by Israel in Hebron are part of its Elimination Project in the West Bank: systematically dismantling Palestinian collective life.

BREAKING: I have warned for months of the refusal, across much of Israel’s political spectrum, to recognise Palestinian citizens as legitimate coalition partners. Now, with unprecedented participation and a projected 19 of 120 Knesset seats, even the legitimacy of their electoral gains is being challenged. The Central Election Committee, chaired by Justice Noam Sohlberg, a settler from Alon Shvut, instructs David Zini, the Director of the Israeli Security Agency to investigate bogus allegations. There is no independent judiciary or impartial civil service in Israel, and nothing but a facade of democracy which it struggles to maintain. With that, the danger of post-election political violence is no longer remote. I fear it may be approaching.
