Here are some thoughts after watching the video of the debate between Bradley Pierce and JoJo Ruba. youtu.be/Ch3pn7bAn4Q?is=unHX… Where' are the abolitionists in California, New York, Pennsylvania? For that matter, what have you done in Missouri or Idaho? As long as half of the States allow abortion, and a large number protect it in all cases and at all ages, criminalizing abortion in some States will increase the divide, increase legal protections for abortion. This has been proven by the fact that seversl States have codified abortion protection in their Constitutions since Dobbs. Federal regulations exist, but are not being enforced to prevent telemedicine and mailing abortion chemicals across State lines. The result is that we can't protect our State laws from the Sheild laws of other States without Federal support. Even then, abortion is legal in half the States, and women may travel. Mr. Pierce talks about restrictions that are regulations against abortion as opposed to criminal charges. The regulations have been based on the medical codes because that is where the States already have regulatory powers and where the act in question is obvious. Medically, it is not always obvious, or even possible, to distinguish between miscarriage, natural death, and chemical abortion. While there is a chemical test, it is not readily available. The mother's body clears the chemical in hours, so it can't be detected. The test is dependable when performed on the baby's body. Who will you test, when and where? Who will be required to produce a dead fetus? All women with documented early losses? All who present to the ER? Only those accused? Finally, the abolitists base their arguments on religion, specifically Christians. What about the non-Christian? It's not as simple as telling people who believe they are Christian and doing good that they are sinning, or even aren't Christians and must repent. Most unfortunately, most people in the US are not Christians. Even some who claim to be Christian deny the virgin birth and resurrection. Our chief aim should be to preach the Gospel. Then, we may win hearts, so that all seek to protect life and there is nothing to repent.

Both cardiac criteria & brain death criteria are based on the latter. Brain death follows cardiac death when the circulation to the whole brain has ceased for ~6 minutes at body temp or greater. The lack of circulation causes an irreversible cascade of cell, then tissue, then organ death & putrescence. The detection of brain criteria death requires serial exams over time. Cardiac death is simpler to detect

It's illegal to use guns to kill humans who aren't a danger to human life because of individual "choice". It's also illegal to provide "tele-sales" of guns & ship them by Federal mail for the intended purpose of killing. while ignoring Federal & State laws.

October 16 is the anniversary of John Brown's Harper's Ferry.raid. That end goal of anti-slavery abolitionists wasn't achieved by opposing anti-slavery laws in some States because there were still slave States. The conflict resulted in violence, a massacre in Lawrence led by proslavery David Atchison, then vengeance raids by John Brown, & finally, a Civil War. We can do better & already have. They had the Dred Scot opinion. We have Dobbs.
