I do think that a big improvement to this game would be metroids dropping missiles. i don’t even need to drop health that’s part of the suspense to me. but no missiles is a strange and annoying choice to me

every post about if metroid 1 is “obsolete” always uses Zero Mission as the comparison point but I think the game that really destroys it is Super. It takes place on the same planet, has a noticeably similar design philosophy, and is also better in literally every way.

I could genuinely see how someone could prefer original 1 over Zero Mission. They have very different ideas made at very different times. But Super is an evolution of every single idea that 1 has and fully realizes them. I feel it completely eclipses nestroid.
