Helen Zille held a public meeting in Finetown on Friday. Residents raised the issue around lack of water tanks.
Today, just 4 days later, new tanks were delivered thanks to the effort made by Helen to source them for the community. 👏

🚨💧 Joburg is losing millions of litres of clean drinking water because of unattended water leaks. This is the real reason why you do not have water in your taps.
Watch the DA Johannesburg Mayoral Candidate, Helen Zille, report on the ground.

@Eskom_SA @Kgosientsho_R our electricity supply failed on Sunday night and I raised a request for service Monday morning. We have not received any technicians to sort out the problem. The previous time it took more than a month to restore supply. This is unacceptable @mteton
Today is day 4 without electricity ⚡️ and the escalation is not working either. What are we supposed to do with our groceries and energy needs with no electricity for 4 days.
South Africa has tiny parties problem, the DA is the only party that is rattling the corrupt and incompetent ANC. These tiny parties are strengthening the ANC’s grip on power. They never have any issues with the ANC. Parliament must implement threshold of 2% immediately.
Cyril Ramaphosa and his ANC cronies are fleecing the government by giving corrupt tenders to their friends and relatives. He behaves as if they received 51%. He found a spine to fire a coalition minister when he has never fired anyone for wrong doing.

Johannesburg is a dysfunctional City. Wherever you go, you are confronted by dilapidated infrastructure. The roads are claimed by potholes and overgrown grass. It is a shame for the wealthiest city in Africa to be in this state. It reminds me of the movie where a deserted city.
It is unbelievable that residents pay rates and the city gets annual grant from Treasury. The rates and services we pay increase every year at above inflation. You wonder what they do with the resources if it’s not stolen by the comrades.
The South African Economy is doomed to stagnation until the ANC and the tiny parties are reduced to insignificant influence. The way I see it is that they are convinced about their own lies that they tell the public. Voting for a small party is tantamount to voting for the ANC.
I wonder if the circus we saw on Thursday from the tiny parties that are helping the ANC destroy our economy is going to have a sequel tomorrow. They must apologise for supporting an illegal fiscal framework. The only thing they achieved was to create a crisis.
The VAT fiasco from last week has only reinforced my belief that the ANC has learnt nothing from its electoral decline. The small parties egging on the ANC are completely out of touch with the feelings of SA. The EFF has completely transformed and became the adult in the room.
Our rural community has been without power for more than a month. Our location was hit by a heavy storm that damaged power poles. We logged a call immediately. The service from @Eskom_SA @EASTERNCAPEGOV @MYANC has left a lot to be desired. Our lives have been turned upside down.
Former Ethekwini Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda was the first casualty of the GNU after his tenure in KwaZulu-Natal’s only metro was cut short earlier this month.
