Greg Bortz

It really is an absolute pleasure to welcome @bortz_greg as our guest for a specially extended Weatherbys segment on the @nickluck Daily podcast. Greg speaks to Nick just two weeks after he landed Africa’s biggest race - the @Hollywoodbets Durban July - with his colt Oriental Charm (pic). There’s so much more to Greg’s involvement in South African 🇿🇦 racing though. He’s a man who, along with some key partners, has been central in turning around the fortunes of racing in the Cape within just a few short years. Greg chats to Nick about being bitten by the racing bug at an early age, his private equity career in the UK & States, a return to SA and renewing his love of horseracing. There’s plenty of ground covered including his partnership with @Hollywoodbets, the tie-up with @GoldCircleRSA, the part South African 🇿🇦 racing can play on the world stage and so much more.
