The Supreme Court’s action against BMC officials raises a pertinent question: Where is accountability?
At Teachers Colony, Bandra (East), the digital LED hoarding reportedly continues operating despite revocation of BMC & Traffic Police NOCs and the City Civil Court dismissing the advertiser’s Notice of Motion.
Who is allowing this to continue?
We demand @MSRDC_official @MSRDCLtd immediate disconnection and removal, action against those responsible, and a written BMC Action Taken Report within 48 hours, specifying enforcement steps, accountable officers and a firm removal deadline.
Court orders and revoked permissions cannot be ignored. Public safety over commercial interests!

48-HOUR DEADLINE: BMC MUST ENFORCE ITS REJECTION ORDER – LED HOARDING STILL OPERATIONAL IN POWAI!
@mybmc @AshwiniBhide @CMOMaharashtra @MTPHereToHelp
A 30’ × 30’ LED advertising hoarding belonging to M/s. Skylite Advertising (Permit No. 790832243) at Tej Co-operative HSG Society, Plot No. 101, JVLR, Powai, continues to display advertisements despite BMC’s Rejection Order No. DMC/Spl/Rejection 25-26/488 dated 03.09.2026.
More seriously, BMC’s own official correspondence dated 18.09.2026 records that the advertiser sought a review instead of filing an appeal and had not paid the prescribed appeal fee.
A review request cannot automatically be treated as a stay of the rejection order. BMC must clarify whether any competent authority has subsequently stayed, modified or set aside that order.
Under Sections 328 and 328A of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, outdoor advertisements are subject to statutory regulation and the applicable municipal permissions.
@WelspunWorld @welspun_group hereby demand the following within 48 HOURS of this public complaint:
Conduct an immediate site inspection and verify the current validity of the hoarding permission.
Confirm in writing whether any valid permission or judicial/administrative stay currently authorises the continued display.
If no valid authority exists, immediately initiate enforcement action in accordance with law, including stoppage of the display and removal of the structure wherever legally warranted.
Examine the complete file, noting sheets and subsequent correspondence to establish how the hoarding continues to operate after rejection.
Fix accountability for any established administrative lapse and provide a written Action Taken Report.
THE KEY QUESTION TO BMC: If permission has been rejected, under what legal authority is this LED hoarding continuing to display commercial advertisements?
A rejection order must not become ineffective through administrative inaction.
48 HOURS FOR A FORMAL RESPONSE AND ENFORCEMENT ACTION.

When contractors are reportedly demanding clearance of ₹86,000 CRORE in pending dues, how can newspaper birthday advertisements for a senior MSRDC official be justified?
@MSRDC_official @MSRDCLtd MSRDC must publicly disclose:
Who placed and paid for these birthday advertisements?
Which contractors or agencies funded them?
What was the total expenditure?
Were these advertisements officially authorised by MSRDC or any government department?
Was any public money or government-linked resource involved?
We demand an official, written disclosure from MSRDC, along with copies of the bills, payment records and approval documents.
At a time when contractors are awaiting ₹86,000 crore in pending payments, transparency and accountability cannot be compromised.
MSRDC must answer. Public money demands public accountability!

COURT REJECTS INJUNCTION PLEA — WHY ARE BANDRA’S TEACHERS COLONY LED HOARDINGS STILL OPERATING?
On 26 October 2026, the Dindoshi City Civil Court dismissed Proactive In & Out Advertising Pvt. Ltd.’s Notice of Motion seeking an injunction against enforcement action concerning the LED hoardings at Teachers Colony, Bandra (East).
The Court recorded public-safety concerns, noted the revocation of the Traffic Police NOC, and observed that the advertiser had not challenged BMC’s letter dated 19 June 2026 directing advertisements to stop and the iron structures to be removed.
Yet, photographs dated 29 October 2026 show the LED displays operating.
OUR SPECIFIC DEMANDS TO BMC @mybmc @AshwiniBhide & @MTPHereToHelp @MumbaiPolice MUMBAI TRAFFIC POLICE:
Immediately inspect the site and record the continued operation of all three displays.
Enforce the applicable stop-display directions and take lawful steps to remove the structures, subject to any operative court order.
Explain the delay and publish an Action Taken Report identifying the action taken and the responsible authorities.
A DIRECT QUESTION TO @GeminiApp GOOGLE GEMINI, @reliancejio JIO AND @applepay APPLE PAY: Are your advertisements being displayed on these LED structures? If so, what due diligence was undertaken to verify the legality of the advertising sites before using them?
Reputed brands deserve transparency. Public safety and compliance with the law must come first. Who will take responsibility?

Despite repeated complaints, these advertising gantries over busy roads in Powai–Vikhroli remain in place. Are BMC S Ward officials waiting for a major accident before taking action?
⚠️ Public safety cannot be compromised. Inspect, verify permissions and remove all unauthorised structures immediately.
Advertisers and companies: @SujataAppliances @RunwalOfficial and all other brands advertising on these structures must verify their legality and stop using unauthorised hoardings.

URGENT ACTION REQUIRED – REJECTED LED HOARDING STILL STANDING
@mybmc @AshwiniBhide @CMOMaharashtra
These photographs show the 30’ × 30’ LED hoarding at Tej Co-op HSG Society, Plot No.101, JVLR, Powai, relating to Permit No. 790832243 – M/s. Skylite Advertising.
BMC issued Rejection Order No. DMC/Spl/Rejection 25-26/488 dated 03/09/2026. BMC’s own record dated 18/09/2026 states that the advertiser sought “review” instead of appeal and had not paid the prescribed fee.
Yet the hoarding structure remains standing. What is the legal authority permitting its continuation after rejection?
BMC’s 2025 Advertisement Policy requires written permission for display of hoardings and provides for action where advertisements are displayed without permission or in contravention of the guidelines.
I request the Municipal Commissioner and CMO Maharashtra to immediately:
🔴 Verify the present legal status of the hoarding
🔴 Stop/disable any unauthorised display, if found
🔴 Examine the complete file and noting sheets
🔴 Investigate the apparent delay/non-action by concerned officers
🔴 Take appropriate action if any officer or advertiser is found to have violated the law
🔴 Provide an Action Taken Report
No rejected permission should be allowed to continue contrary to law. Transparency and equal enforcement are essential.
#BMC #MCGM #Mumbai #LEDHoarding #Hoarding #RTI #Transparency #SkyliteAdvertising #Powai #JVLR #CMOMaharashtra
BMC’s own website confirms that hoarding advertisements are regulated under Sections 328 and 328A of the MMC Act, while its 2025 policy states that display requires written permission from the Commissioner or authorised officer.
Replying to @mybmc
@mybmc @AshwiniBhide @CMOMaharashtra
Urgent intervention requested regarding LED Hoarding Permit No. 790832243 of M/s. Skylite Advertising. BMC issued a rejection order dated 03/09/2026. The Sr. Inspector’s note dated 18/09/2026 records that the advertiser sought “review” instead of appeal and had not paid the prescribed fee.
Despite this, no effective action appears to have been taken. My RTI dated 10/09/2026 seeking the complete file, noting sheets and action taken has also not been answered.
Why is the rejected hoarding being given further consideration? Please investigate the role of concerned officers, including DMC (Special) Superintendent of Licence and Licence Officer @mybmcWardS preserve the complete file, provide the RTI information and take immediate action strictly as per the BMC Act and Advertisement Policy.
@VarshaEGaikwad @AUThackeray @rautsanjay61 Please investigate and issue an Action Taken Report.
SERIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERN | NESCO SKYwalk, Mumbai
@mybmc @mybmcWardPS @MTPHereToHelp @MumbaiPolice
The banner installed on the NESCO Skywalk/FOB requires immediate safety and permission verification. A few months ago, the same skywalk shed/roofing was damaged/destroyed during strong winds. In view of this history, the present banner installation deserves urgent inspection.
⚠️ If the banner or its supporting structure falls on a pedestrian or vehicle, who will be responsible?
I request @AshwiniBhide to:
➡️ Immediately inspect the banner and its fixing
➡️ Verify all permissions, licence and structural safety documents
➡️ Remove it immediately if found unauthorised or unsafe
➡️ Fix responsibility as per law if any violation is established
➡️ Conduct an inspection under the supervision of DMC (Special) Mr. Vispute and SL In-charge Mr. Kate, and place the action taken on record.
This is a request for preventive action and accountability not an allegation against any individual. Public safety must come before advertising revenue.
Act before an accident, not after one.

🚨 SERIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERN – BORIVALI ANNEX MALL
@AshwiniBhide After the major fire incident, shocking photographs now show renovation/restaurant work has once again started inside the premises. If this work is being carried out without valid BMC, Fire Brigade and other statutory permissions, it must be stopped immediately.
@mybmc @myBMCFire @MumbaiPolice @mybmcWardRC
Demand immediate STOP-WORK action, inspection and sealing of the premises if violations are found. Verify Fire NOC, Health/Trade Licence, electrical & structural safety and all operational permissions before allowing any activity.
Who permitted the work to restart after such a serious incident? Public safety cannot be compromised again.
#Borivali #AnnexMall #FireSafety #BMC #MumbaiFireBrigade #MumbaiPolice #PublicSafety – at Mumbai, India
Shocking visuals from Borivali Annex Mall fire raise serious questions on public safety, illegal storage, fire compliance and negligence.
If eyewitness accounts about cylinders, combustible materials and operational restaurants inside the premises are true, then immediate criminal investigation is required.
Why did the authorities fail to prevent such a dangerous situation before a major tragedy occurred?
How were health trade licences, fire NOC and operational permissions granted or renewed?
Who conducted inspections and whether mandatory fire safety norms were actually verified?
Demanding immediate action from:
@mybmc
Mumbai Fire Brigade
@MumbaiPolice
Register FIR against responsible restaurant owners, occupiers and all concerned officials if negligence, illegal storage or violation of fire safety norms is found.
Strict inquiry must also be conducted against concerned BMC Health Department and Fire Department officers who cleared or ignored violations.
Public safety cannot be compromised until lives are lost.
A high-level fire safety audit of all malls, restaurants and commercial establishments in Mumbai must be conducted immediately.

Attention @CMOMaharashtra @mieknathshinde @SunetraA_Pawar
Digital LED hoarding at Teachers Colony, Bandra East, Western Express Highway, Mumbai continues to operate despite information received under RTI Act, 2005 stating that the Traffic Police Department has revoked the LED display licence/NOC and directed stoppage of advertisements & removal of the structure.
If permission/NOC has been withdrawn by the competent authority, continuation of operation raises serious questions regarding compliance with licence conditions, traffic safety norms & public safety, especially on a busy highway.
Request Joint CP Traffic Mumbai to kindly clarify why enforcement action has not been taken till date and direct immediate inspection/action as per law against any violation.
Public safety must prevail over commercial interest.

After the matter reached the Hon’ble Bombay High Court, there are concerns about whether MCGM officials may now consider negotiations with the hoarding association that could permit terrace/rooftop hoardings.
If any such proposal, permission or stand is taken before the Hon’ble Court, it must be fully transparent and strictly in accordance with MCGM’s latest 2025 Outdoor Advertisement Policy and public-safety norms.
@rashtrapatibhvn The important question is: if terrace hoardings are permitted contrary to safety concerns and a major accident occurs in future, who will be accountable?
@bombaybench Public safety cannot be compromised for any private or commercial interest. The MCGM must place its complete and truthful position before the Hon’ble Bombay High Court. – at Mumbai, India
Hon’ble Dy. CM @mieknathshinde ji, despite your clear directions to remove all illegal hoardings and banners, the unauthorized hoardings/gantries on the MMRDA FOBs at Kala Nagar, Bandra (E), continue to remain in place.
@AshwiniBhide @MMRDAOfficial @MMRDA_TWEET My RTI response from MMRDA states that no permission has been granted for hoardings on the Kala Nagar FOB. If that is the position, why have these structures not yet been removed?
I respectfully urge @mybmc Ward H/E, MMRDA and all concerned authorities to implement your directions immediately. Public safety cannot wait. Delayed enforcement may expose commuters to avoidable risks, especially during the monsoon.
@HOHExclusive @N_Hiranandani Please act before another tragedy—not after one.
