there are many use cases for the genome, and growing! here are 5: - finding disease variants - predicting drug metabolism - mapping pathways - prioritizing targets - detecting integrated viral DNA way more here: bradleywoolf.com/links-2/wha…
I can't find a way to use my genome. I’m the most intense longevity athlete in the world and haven’t used my genome for a single thing. Fully sequenced in 2012. Again this year, paying $7,902 for matched 30x long read + 100x short read. Still, nothing. What am I missing?

synbio/programmable biology was the original reason for me programming computers last year i sought to understand how it could be usable to an average person, and generative, on-demand medicine is possible so i made bee antivenom, since i am allergic bradleywoolf.com/de-novo-ant…
I'm excited to share something I've been working on... NeoGenesis Capital is a new fund focused on the intersection of superintelligence and synthetic biology. I believe some of the most extraordinary breakthroughs of the coming decade will happen at this intersection. I'll be sharing more on @moonshots_pod soon, including why I'm so excited about what's ahead!

What is interesting is that you can still plug the chip into the base of the MinION, even after separating everything

In summary: - everything screws together (except the chip itself, which appears to be manufactured as one unit) - You use it 1-3x then throw it away, like the SpaceX rocket analogy of throwing away a rocket every time you fly - DNA + some fluid flows through the nanopores and is discarded on the side - Nanopore sensing can be used for RNA, proteins, peptides, and other molecules - an electrical current is applied across the pore array, and when DNA bases pull them through, an algorithm reads that

is there a company doing custom assay development using ai agents?

I guess any CRO or postdoc. Just think this can be automated pretty well

my thoughts on the $0 genome : why aren't DNA sequencing companies offering WGS for $0? if we consider the $300 WGS cost as CAC, then all that is left is to make LTV > CAC but what is the value? a data structure like Google? commerce like Amazon? bradleywoolf.com/links-2/the…
