Serious question: Can you call yourself a “professional baseball player” if you only played independent ball?
Using “I played pro ball” as a marketing tool can be very misleading.

After the game, our head coach, the guy who was yelling “it hit his bat” told the team “I need more guys like Alex Feinberg”

My little brother passed away 10 years ago. He would’ve loved that I picked Notre Dame. Chad, love you buddy! @PlayersTribune

A story like Lane Kiffin’s family touring Gainesville and Baton Rouge doesn’t get out unless Lane Kiffin and his representatives want it to get out.

The biggest leap in sports isn't from the amateur level to the pros, it's from high school to college
Of the 13 MLB players I played with at Vandy, about half of them really struggled making the transition to SEC baseball
David Price famously went into our coach's office to quit a month before the start of our Freshman season
Pedro Alvarez wasn't even worthy of making our 25 man travel roster in the eyes of some of his teammates his Freshman fall, 7 years before becoming an MLB All Star
It's incredibly challenging for men to go from being The Dude to just being some dude, and a lot of top prospects never seem to be able to make the transition
The ones who succeeded shared 2 things in common:
1) They never gave up on themselves
2) They convinced their coaches to never give up on them
Get enough rolls of the dice and talent will eventually get it right. The key is to figure out a way to keep rolling

Dads don’t ruin your relationship with your son in a batting cage when he’s 8. It’ll end one day and the only memory your kid will have is dad was a total ass.

This tweet has gotten a lot of attention! And obviously it’s still very hard for fans to get out of the pre-NIL mentality where Florida was a slam dunk better job than Ole Miss. I have no idea what Lane is thinking, what he values or what he wants to do. But industry-wide, there’s a change in how jobs are perceived and there really isn’t much of a gap if any when it comes to the ultimate goal of being a regular in the CFP. That’s a credit to Ole Miss for setting up their program in an advantageous way for NIL and also a reality of the current ecosystem. That’s all I’m trying to convey!

For some reason, they’ll never understand there aren’t enough bombs to break the American spirit. There aren’t enough bombs to make us anything other than the greatest nation in the universe. You are just accelerating your trip to Hell for a cause that doesn’t exist.
Post them all Herbie and don’t apologize! Lost mine about a year ago and I miss her every day.
Just looking at so many videos over the last day or so. Sorry to wear ya out but occasionally I see one and want to share it for those of you that like these. This was Ben around 3 or 4 years old. This was an EVERY day game I’d play with him. Try to find something that he’d lock into on TV.
Loved watching TV.

This is really hard to write but so many of you have loved and cared about Ben that I wanted to let you know. We found out today the cancer had spread throughout Bens organs and there was nothing left we could do-we had to let him go. I’ve had dogs my whole life but Ben was 1 on 1. He was smart-loving-gentle-patient-inquisitive-and welcoming to all. Always a big smile and a soft tail wag. He and I could communicate..he and I understood each other and had each others backs. He was with me more than anyone at home and traveling with me for work. Such an easy going companion. Hard day-but he will live within all of us forever. God please bless his majestic soul and thank you for putting him in my life for the last 10 years-a true blessing.
Love you Ben. 🙏🏼

College baseball coaches - what are things you look for when recruiting catchers? Are there certain non-negotiables that every catcher has to have?
