What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Before I joined a Substack, I never imagined myself saying “I want to hear the end of the illuminati sex cult story!”
[NEWS] “Marnûkh is a character meant to challenge long-held perceptions of Orcs. He’s such a departure from past depictions that within the production, Marnûkh has picked up the catchy nickname, “the Orc with an arc.”

Every libertarian I know says “End the Fed” and just hopes everyone else just understands.
They don’t. @ComicDaveSmith explains it perfectly

Portland has a toxic cocktail of intellectual bankruptcy, Marxist groupthink, spectacularly poor judgment, professional resentment, and an almost pathological intolerance for dissent.
It’s an echo chamber where smug self-righteousness masquerades as intelligence, ideological conformity substitutes for critical thinking, and anyone who dares challenge the prevailing orthodoxy becomes a target for public shaming, harassment, and sometimes disturbing rhetoric about violence.
It’s not a marketplace of ideas. It’s an ideological sewer where the loudest self-appointed moral authorities confuse censorship with virtue and mob intimidation with righteousness.
The irony is almost comical: a a city populated by people who lecture everyone else about tolerance, inclusion, and democracy, yet routinely demonstrate contempt for anyone who thinks differently.
When your worldview cannot survive disagreement, your problem isn’t the person challenging you. It’s the fragility of your own ideology.
