I’m always fascinated by the response to this. Why don’t communists move to communist countries. I never see the rich ones spending to improve others lives just funding projects aligned with their goals which tend to make them more money or an increase in influence.

It’s always fun to wake up and see what ghosts people are trying to fight today.
...Are we for real right now? 😭 Sheik is Zelda. There was never a secret identity in the “actually a guy” sense. Zelda is hiding from Ganondorf, so she dresses as a Sheikah and lets people assume she’s a man Other characters thinking that, or not paying much attention to her, or whatever else—as long as they didn't know she was Zelda—was the entire the point of the disguise. she is, always has been, and always will be a beautiful, slender, feminine woman, and The Princess of Hyrule I get having gripes with the new design, but Sheik was always a woman disguising herself so she can move through Hyrule more easily unnoticed. Nothing more.

I've been seeing some weird posts regarding Sheik recently and I feel like I need to weigh in, because it's a misconception that's even made its way towards my own review of Ocarina of Time and I'm frankly tired of seeing it: Sheik is not a guy. I know this won't be shocking information to most of you, but some people seem to be genuinely confused by this statement, so let's get this straight. After Zelda was whisked away from Hyrule Castle by Impa, she was raised and trained to fight in the way of the Sheikah, and she adopted the identity of 'Sheik' as a way of avoiding capture by Ganon. Part of this new identity included disguising herself as a male Sheikah warrior. This parallels Ecclesiastical law in Medieval Europe, which explicitly gave women permission to cross dress for the purpose of protecting themselves while traveling (famously, Jeanne d'Arc cross dressed during the 100 Years War for that exact purpose, and used that legal precedent to defend herself during her heresy trial). So Sheik is just Zelda clad in tight-fitting ninja clothes with some magically colored eyes - other than that, it's still her. Despite this, for some reason, I've had some people try to 'correct' or even admonish me in the comments section of my Ocarina of Time review claiming that I "misgendered" Sheik - I didn't. Sheik is a Princess named Zelda in disguise. She did not literally transform into a man - that's literally never stated or even implied in the text (unless if you count people mistaking Sheik for a man as proof that she is a man, but that's literally the entire point of the disguise in the first place - to get people to mistake her for someone she isn't). So no: Sheik's design in the new Ocarina of Time remake does not look too "feminine" - she looks like a beautiful woman doing her best to disguise herself as a guy, and sort of succeeding if you squint a bit. I'm happy with the new design for the most part, and I even think it's amongst the better redesigns so far - much better than Link's redesign, at the very least.

COVID is such a funny topic for anyone who has a memory longer than 6 years. The right at the beginning was concerned about this disease and called for locking down travel from infected countries. The left called this racist, Nancy Pelosi went to China town and told people to hug a Chinese person. Trump spearheaded the vax development the left claimed they would never take the Trump shot. Then the same people who called shutting down flights to China racist started saying your kids can’t go to school anymore. The ones that said they’d never take the Trump shot we’re going to fire you if you didn’t take it. It’s ok to admit pretty much everyone lost their heads during the pandemic. It’s pretty dumb to pretend that never happened.

Man. I didn’t expect to see all this cooking so early. Breakfast. 🥞
You wrote a lot of words just to prove the exact problem with these statistics. Yes, Sony reports 78% digital full-game unit sales. Nobody is denying the number. What I’m challenging is the conclusion you’re trying to draw from it. That 78% is an aggregate across ALL PS4 PS5 full game software sales. It does not tell you what percentage of consumers choose physical when BOTH physical and digital versions of the SAME NEW GAME are available. That distinction matters enormously. Capcom is the perfect example. You proudly quote its ~90% digital ratio while ignoring what makes up that number: Capcom sells enormous volumes of old catalog games digitally, often at deep discounts. In FY2026, 83.7% of Capcom’s unit sales were catalog titles. And they Coun Game akey Cards as Digital purchases. That’s why I always question the methodology behind this statistics. And then we look at an actual major new release where consumers were given both options: Resident Evil Requiem. France 55% physical Japan: 51% Australia: 43% UK: 40% Suddenly your „90% digital” narrative looks a little different, doesn’t it? And no, the 7000 vs 1000 argument does NOT „cut both ways.” It explains exactly why aggregate platform statistics cannot answer the question we’re asking. If thousands of products can ONLY be purchased digitally, counting their sales in a physical-vs-digital ratio obviously pushes the ratio toward digital. You cannot choose a physical version that doesn’t exist. Your Circana argument has the same problem. „Only seven games exceeded 100,000 physical copies” tells me absolutely nothing without the equivalent digital unit sales for those SAME games, during the SAME period, on the SAME platform. A number without its denominator isn’t the devastating argument you think it is. Yes, publishers dislike used games because they don’t get paid twice. That’s the point. The used market benefits CONSUMERS. We can sell games, buy them cheaper, lend them, trade them and recover part of our money. You’re literally explaining why corporations want to eliminate physical ownership and somehow presenting their financial incentive as an argument for why consumers should accept it. I don’t care which distribution model maximizes Sony’s margins. I am the customer not a Sony shareholder. And then we finally reach your supposed consumer “benefits”: Instant access? Already available today. No sold-out shelves? Already available today. Digital discounts? Already available today. Cheaper digital-only hardware? Already available today. Not ONE of those requires eliminating discs. That’s the entire argument you keep avoiding. Digital consumers lose absolutely nothing by physical games continuing to exist. Physical consumers lose ownership, resale, lending, retail competition and choice when physical disappears. So answer the actual question: What NEW consumer benefit do we receive specifically in exchange for Sony removing that choice? Not what Sony gains. Not what publishers gain. Not what digital customers already have. What do WE gain from removing an option? Because so far, you’ve written an essay explaining why corporations benefit from killing physical media and accidentally made my argument for me. #NoDiscNoBuy #Playstation

I love this. 😂👍🏿. That’s a pure reaction.
My Chinese friend said he was going to China for one of his family members' weddings, and I asked if they were going to have the double entrance doors so an old lady doesn’t steal the bride's good luck. He looked at me with a blank face and said: "How the fuck do you know that? I feel like it’s racist for you to have that info."

They’re cutting Night Crawler because he is a devout Catholic and that can’t be allowed in post modernism Marvel.

Sony argues that “reasonable consumers” already understand they don’t truly own their digital games. Fine—change the confirmation button from “Purchase” to “Rent” & see how sales are affected. Consumers will immediately hesitate, exposing how misleading the current terminology is

Sony told a court that no reasonable person could think they own a digital game they paid $70 for. Their argument? If you actually owned Resident Evil Requiem, the next guy couldn’t buy it, because you’d already “possess” it. That’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard. That’s not how movies work. That’s not how video games have ever worked. Two people can buy the same product. Owning your copy does not mean you own the entire damn game. You hit Buy. You paid full price. And they’re in court arguing it was always a license they can revoke whenever the fuck they want. XBOX is laughing now.
