On #firefox Nightly 139, `commitStyles()` endpoint-inclusive behavior is enabled by default for checking Web-compatibility. Please give it a try! :)
I couldn't have impl it w/o @brianskold's help, thank you so much!

Why doesn't @retool have an AI-based app generator yet? Seems like an obvious fit when selling "internal tools made easy".

I've been fiddling with @rspack_dev for about a year now and today I finally switched my Webpack projects over. Here are some of the things I learned along the way.

In latest @FirefoxNightly, the variable tooltip in @FirefoxDevTools now shows the computed value of the variable.
It should make working with custom properties much easier. Combined with the registered property info and @โstarting-style value, this feels like super power ๐ฆน

ALT Firefox DevTools Inspector showing a CSS value using a CSS variable. A popup is displayed, pointing to the variable name. In the popup, we can see the variable declaration (`--button-border-radius = var(--border-radius-small)`), as well as a "computed value" section, under which we can see the value: "4px"

I recently discovered some drivel I wrote in 2022 about going from browser engineer to Web developer so I decided to tidy it up and post it now that I have a blog again.
It's very long but the summary is that it turns out Web development is hard ๐

I wrote some notes about setting up Playwright to run each browser as a separate job on GitHub Actions.
Doing this, switching to @buildjet... and disabling a bunch of tests on WebKit got our E2E tests run time down from 40 minutes to 4 minutes ๐

Been watching RUIN on YouTube which uses a lot of AI imagery and even AI narrators. Love the experimentation and the labelling of AI content but overall I find it distracting and start longing for "real" content. Good on them for trying new things though.

Last year I decided to get back into blogging. It only took a year and a bit to set the blog up but now, finally, I have a new post: Sponsoring Open Source as a Japanese company ๐

So refreshing to see an open source project that makes it easy to report issues. Thank you @webprolific ๐
