🔬 ILS Hosts B. Tech Biotechnology Students from ICAR-IIAB, Ranchi
Today, 29th October 2026, BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences (@bric_ils), Bhubaneswar, welcomed 40 undergraduate B. Tech Biotechnology students from ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (IIAB), Ranchi, along with four accompanying faculty/staff. The students, from the 3rd Year (Sem-V) and 4th Year (Sem-VII) programmes, are on a week-long educational tour of leading research and academic institutes in Bhubaneswar.
During the visit, the students got hands-on exposure to our advanced central research facilities, like FACS, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Sequencing Facility. Experiencing these technologies first-hand helps bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world research applications, and we hope it inspires the students toward future careers in biotechnology and life sciences.
We thank the students and faculty of ICAR-IIAB for their enthusiasm, and the ILS team for making the visit a success.
At ILS, we remain committed to nurturing scientific curiosity among young minds. We welcome more such visits!

Special Campaign 6.0 | A Month of Cleanliness at @BRIC_ILS, Bhubaneswar 🌿
Over the past month, BRIC–Institute of Life Sciences (BRIC-ILS), Bhubaneswar, carried out a series of cleanliness drives under Special Campaign 6.0, reaching across its campuses and into the neighbouring community.
From clearing neglected campus spaces and consolidating old e-waste for disposal, to sanitising a school and engaging an entire village in a cleanup drive, the campaign steadily transformed both physical spaces and mindsets. Scientists, officers, research scholars and staff worked alongside students, teachers and villagers, pairing hands-on cleaning with awareness on hygiene and sanitation.
The result: cleaner, safer campus spaces, a more hygiene-conscious school and village, and a stronger bond between the Institute and the communities it serves.
Special Campaign 6.0 is a reminder that sustained, collective effort adds up to lasting change. 🌍
