Volkswagen is cutting 100,000 jobs.
Britain should be terrified.
Not because VW is British.
Because this is what happens when industry can no longer compete.
Cheap Chinese rivals.
High costs.
Factories with nowhere near enough work.
And what is Britain doing?
Making energy brutally expensive.
Taxing employers harder.
Piling on more rules.
Highest industrial power prices in the rich world.
Then Reeves wonders why investment goes elsewhere.
You cannot tax and regulate your way to an industrial revival.
Industry goes where it is wanted.
Cheap energy.
Low taxes.
Freedom to build.
Get that wrong and the factories leave.
The jobs follow.
And once they’re gone, getting them back is almost impossible.

Calls for a touchline ban for Bielsa or points deduction for Leeds United over Spygate are far too extreme. Just needs a warning from the FA, for the EFL to tighten its rules, LMA to have a quiet word about respect between its members and everybody advised to plant more trees...

Seeing the Pink Panther main theme performed live is unreal. Henry Mancini conducting, Plas Johnson on sax like the original recording, and the Terry Gibbs Band locking in behind him.
Film music history happening in real time.

This is SUPERB! @GoodwinMJ makes an airtight case for voting Reform UK.
"I am not going to fall into the trap of putting my faith in a party that has consistently sold this country down the river"
"Put your cross next to Reform and send the system a message!"
Spot on🔥👏👏👏

To give some perspective. I was there too. Saw no trouble that wasn’t provoked by local groups. Walked into the ground with immaculately behaved fans from both sides. Despite appalling travel issues supporters stayed calm. Please stop trying to sensationalise. Just my view.
Water companies have dumped BILLIONS OF LITRES of raw sewage into our rivers and seas. Banning their bonuses isn’t enough. Tell political leaders: fine them in shares, then renationalise water companies who don’t clean up their act. 38d.gs/eg31

I just watched the roughly 45-minute footage of October 7th at a private screening in NYC. Here are my immediate thoughts minutes after watching it. 🧵

A wee request. At 8pm tonight @itvmlshow's back with a crucial show on boosting the state pension (maybe by £10,000s). Its a must watch for 45-70s as for many it's the biggest single lifetime financial improvement possible.
Yet few know it's on. If you can pls spread word!
PS I'm also covering energy fixing too.

This is a huge story: major food processor passing off foreign bought pork as British for £££s. Sub par and contaminated meat going to major retailers. Serious piece of investigative journalism by @FWAbiKay and @FarmersWeekly.
For the past few weeks I've been completely consumed by this investigation. It's probably the most important story I'll ever break and I hope it can be used to bring about meaningful change. Please do read it 👇fwi.co.uk/news/exclusive-mas…
