I was slicing some vegetables yesterday and I ended up cutting my finger. It didn’t matter that it was a mistake, I immediately got upset because how? I’ve been slicing vegetables since I was 8 years old and could finally wield a knife. I should know better, yet I’d acted like a complete rookie!
Considering my immense displeasure, it only made sense to slice more fingers as that’d certainly teach me a lesson, right? So, I did. I sliced another finger, then another, then…

My coworker takes a full hour for lunch every day, and last week someone told her, "Must be nice."
She walks out at 12:30 and comes back at 1:30. Everyone else eats at their desks with one hand on the mouse.
She didn't argue. She just smiled and said, "It is nice."

I do this whenever I travel by air. I’ll familiarise myself with whoever I’m sitting next to, collect their number, and ask if someone is picking them up or if they’re ordering a ride.
Once I hear “I’m ordering a ride,” congratulations, you’ve just become my airport taxi. 😂
I’ll discreetly use my phone to snap the car plate number and send it, alongside the person’s details, to my DSS friend in case anything happens.

When I’m in a bad situation or I’ve messed up, I just randomly imagine I were dead and if that mistake would matter. If it doesn’t, I try to take it off my head. This is my coping mechanism.
I still don’t know how to make noodles. I don’t even like cooking noodles. I like someone else making it. It never hits when I make it.

From the accident, she has fractures in her hand, leg, and pelvic region. The doctor said the surgery will cost about ₦5 million. It is extensive and will be done in two phases.
First they will operate on her hand and leg. When she recovers from that, they will do the pelvic region.
It has been a painful experience. We have already spent so much on drugs and medications just to keep her stable this far. The pain is still there every day.
