Stanford Reservoir - another early one to connect with the Sabine’s Gull before the roost dispersed. Picked it up earlier and had excellent on water and flight views. Departed at 06.39. @rg_stanford @rg_stanford #PWC2026
Stanford Reservoir - Sabine’s Gull left the roost just before 7 but flew high north. More #patchgold just after 9 when a clear calling WOODLARK went over, calling 3 times. A patch tick & only the 2nd ever for the site (last in 1987). A fantastic end to the week. #PWC2026

The lovely Isabelline Shrike at Out Newton yesterday - a lifer! Really pleased I managed to drop by and see it, having left Spurn just before it was first reported. Sometimes the timing works out perfectly! @BirdGuides @_BTO.

Very nice Isabelline/Red-tailed Shrike at Whitburn today found by Andrew Close
Stanford Reservoir - incredibly I watched the Sabine’s Gull leave the roost this AM and return again this evening for its 4th night. A real highlight in what seems to have been a dull end to October in the county. My bird of the year so far on the patch. @LandRbirds

I didn't hold much hope the Sabine's Gull would still be there at Stanford Res, but standing with 3 others at 5:45am trying to make out Gulls in the dark, eventually paid dividends, another great find by @c4hub hand shakes all around.
Stanford Reservoir - not the weekend to lose your phoneskope adapter! Poor video & images of the first-winter Sabine’s Gull I found in fading light in the roost this evening - first for Stanford.

Norfolk's first twitchable Nutcracker since 1968 - here at Mundesley eating a Wasp! I'm sure he'd much prefer some peanuts (unsalted of course), so do try to take some along if you're visiting. Huge thanks to finder Neil Cooper.

NUTCRACKER is showing well at Mundesley, Norfolk! I was certainly thinking it wouldn’t actually happen!

The Rufous-tailed Robin finally gave its self up this afternoon at Flamborough. It took me three days to see it but it was worth the effort....
Clifford Hill, Northants - decent views of Northants first American Pipit in appalling conditions. A few record images here. Bird and birders very wet.
Stanford Reservoir - Bittern this evening, showing well although the murky, wet conditions didn’t help. 12 Great Egrets is a good total for the site along with 27 Little, 62 Teal, 2 Pintail & Goosander. @LandRbirds
Stanford Reservoir - thought there would be more to go at yesterday but wasn’t to be. 2 second-winter Mediterranean Gulls & YL Gull in the roost, 8 Great Egret, 23 Little Egret, 2 Pintail. @LandRbirds @rg_stanford
Stanford Reservoir - this morning’s drake Common Scoter, the 2nd record of 2026. Also, 12 Goosander, 5 Great Egret, 31 Little Egret, 35 Wigeon, 47 Shoveler. Bittern & 3 Whoopers yesterday. @LandRbirds @rg_stanford
Stanford Reservoir - this morning’s Rock Pipit showing well on the spillway.
@LandRbirds @rg_stanford
Stanford Reservoir - great to find a Rock Pipit this morning. My last 3 records - 2020, 2022 & 2024. Nice addition to #PWC2026. Also, Marsh Harrier, Pintail, Siskin, Great Egret & 26 Little Egret. @LandRbirds @rg_stanford
Stanford Reservoir - an excellent run of 5 colour ringed Black-headed Gulls since mid August. 2 from Holland, 1 from Belarus, 1 from Norway & 1 from Suffolk. Norway, Belarus & 1 of the Holland birds pictured. @LandRbirds #PWC2026 @rg_stanford
