What an absolute repudiation of President Trump, his policies, and the candidates he endorsed. The Republican Party needs to do some real reflecting after tonight.

Good ideas attached to bad candidates lead to bad outcomes. Rinse and repeat.
Excellent article.

"The Christian is to be a demonstration of the existence of God. But if we as individual Christians, and as the church, act on less than a personal relationship to other men, where is the demonstration that God the Creator is personal?" -Francis Schaeffer
Reading two papers on the first day of ETS. One in a session with @TimothyDPadget1 @SpenceSpencer01 and @XianMind. The other in conjunction with @dandarling, with him responding to my paper and I to his.

“To live moment by moment through faith on the basis of the blood of Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, is the only really integrated way to live. This is the only way to be at rest with myself, for only in this way am I not trying to carry what I cannot." Francis Schaeffer
A helpful book. Appreciated the chapters by @Sean_McDowell and @proginosko. That said, not sure if it overall distinguishes itself enough from the Zondervan five views book.
I'm not an evidentialist, but @Sean_McDowell's chapter in Understanding Christian Apologetics on the evidential method is very well done.

Don’t apologize for being a Baptist.
Don’t overreact to our weaknesses, and don’t assume other traditions are obviously smarter or deeper.
Baptists have a rich heritage from both the whole Christian tradition and our Baptist history—and they’re readily available to study.

Sincerely, I mean this in the least rage baity way possible…
It’s pretty wild how contemporary progressives expect parents to completely abdicate their rights and responsibilities.
Like, just fully capitulate? Acquiesce our parenting to the government? And now to the internet? Because surely big gov and big tech love our kids more and will make better decisions for their flourishing. What could go wrong?
I am concerned.
.@AbdulElSayed says it’s ok for MEN to be in girl’s locker rooms.
Why?
“Well because they are going to find out about it on the internet anyway”
Completely unacceptable.

On his deathbed at age 52, Matthew Henry, whose commentary on the whole Bible is still widely used almost 300 years later, said to a friend,
“You have been used to take notice of the sayings of dying men—this is mine: that a life spent in the service of God and communion with Him, is the most pleasant life that anyone can live in this world”.
You can have all this world but give me Jesus.
