I really want to read this @ScottLaudati work in progress, so if someone could please give him a temporary home in the desert that would be great 🏜️

Read an excerpt from my Heathers inspired dark comedy about disaffected 90s teen culture.
Huge thanks to the awesome @sarpsozdinler, who is both a talented and prolific writer and somehow still finds time to publish tons of cool stuff over at @BulbRegion!

It seems we have an opening for a columnist.
Open to pitches on any topic. A deep unhealthy obsession, or intimate knowledge of/ relationship with the subject a must.

My next book is called "Denali, Alaska" and is being published by Trident Press (@PressTrident) out of Boulder, CO. I'm so, so, so excited for this. Preorders open up Oct. 19. I hope every single person on Twitter buys at least 2 copies. And the bots buy more.

I think putting in the mental effort matters more than word count. Sometimes it can take an hour to write just as many words that it’ll take a third of that time to write tomorrow. Sitting down, doing the work—or even walking round, brainstorming the work—that’s what counts.
So whatever work you have put in today, well done 💕
In addition to be being an amazing writer, @amykdebellis spits mad truth about AI in indie lit 🔥 amydebellis.substack.com/p/t…
My specialty: writing about dark stuff in light ways! 💫 Hope y’all will check out my story in @BurialMagazine today about getting stuck in purgatory while in Baltimore 😉
today in burial: there’s a lightness to this story that i’m frankly straight up jealous of—this is ‘dearly departed’ by @ca5eyj0, a tale about…AWP baltimore? a burial alum even makes an appearance within. if this sounds annoying to you—well, you’re wrong, it rocks. read it 👇👇!
Hiking with a friend today that informed us of the presence of an old doll occupying a bench on a nearby trail. “I’m not kidding, there’s a spider that lives in its mouth,” he said. Apparently his girlfriend took a picture of the doll once, and this is how a horror movie starts.
Great story from James with perfectly timed release! Harvest moon tomorrow 🌕
New story in @trampset.
Sometimes a simple smoke break turns into an occult murder mystery. What can you do?
For novelty socks and Egyptian gods, read “The Harvest.”

The more closely I follow this stuff, and hear these alarms, the more I’m inclined to log off the apps and touch grass and write and read in analog form. First thing I write will be a bucket list, bc damn, the end of the decade is THREE YEARS AWAY
Replying to @hilbertspaess
The people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a marketing stunt. If anything, many executives and senior researchers will couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible - but I hear the same people express fear privately. No other human activity poses this level of danger.
