🔵 Democratic socialist Angela Gonzales-Torres has defeated AIPAC-backed incumbent Rep. Jimmy Gomez in California’s 34th Congressional District, according to AP. The 31-year-old challenger, backed by Justice Democrats and the Democratic Socialists of America’s Los Angeles chapter, led 58.7% to 41.3% in the latest count. “Los Angeles doesn’t belong to AIPAC,” she wrote Wednesday. “Los Angeles doesn’t belong to Crypto or Big AI, Los Angeles doesn’t belong to corporate real estate developers. It belongs to us.”
Los Angeles doesn't belong to AIPAC, Los Angeles doesn’t belong to Crypto or Big AI, Los Angeles doesn’t belong to corporate real estate developers. It belongs to us. Workers deserve more. We deserve real representation and respect and I think it’s time that we get it. Thank you, CA-34!

The next senator from the state of Texas
"I've never taken money from AIPAC, and I'm not taking money from AIPAC in this campaign. Seeing what's happening in Gaza makes me sick to my stomach as a teacher, as a Christian, as a human being" (James Talarico,Texas State Representative)

This right here is the new political dynamic on Palestine in the US. Congratulations to Senator-Elect Abdul El-Sayed!!
El-Sayed: To AIPAC who spent $42 million against us. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to beat you twice.

No, this isn't "trade." It's Israeli weapons makers being insinuated into DoD's procurement process. Sec. 219 of the House NDAA version would appoint an unelected Exec Agent to facilitate potentially tens of billions in contracts annually. Make no mistake: this is Israel First.
President Trump is right: the future of our relationship with Israel has to be Trade, not Aid. That’s the message Congressman Hamadeh and @RepStutzman delivered to Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem earlier this year, when they laid out the case for ending the $3.8 billion in annual military aid so Israel buys American weapons and defense technology with its own money. America First has never meant America alone. It means strong partners, not permanent dependents. Peace through strength. Commerce, not blank checks. That’s how we put the American people first.

Preferential democracy is one hell of a euphemism for apartheid state.
Israel is a preferential democracy. And figuring out how to integrate 2 million Palestinian citizens is critical to a Jewish democratic state. The JL may be bridge too far Gadi. Though look at Bibi’s buddies - Smotrich and Ben Gvir.

.@jacobsoboroff Your story re rift between Israel lobby darling Rep Stevens whose hubby’s working w/the lobby & @AbdulElSayed completely left those facts out, knowing that anti-Muslim bigotry + false accusations of antisemitism are at the heart of the “rift” & race. Not honest.

💯 Every word of this. Thank you to these courageous Biden admin resignees who quit their jobs rather than be complicit in genocide. Their demand that presidential candidates refuse any dealings w/ Blinken, Sullivan, McGurk, and all the others who faciliated genocide is a must.
We resigned over U.S. support for Israel’s actions in Gaza. We’re calling on every 2028 presidential candidate to pledge not to appoint the architects/enablers of U.S. complicity in genocide. Read our statement and share the call for accountability at gazaresignees.org.

No matter who wins tomorrow's election in Israel, let's be clear: Israel is a racist, settler-colonial state and Zionism is predicated on the elimination of indigenous Palestinians who will remain subject to military occupation, apartheid, and genocide regardless of who is PM.

Brad, ur in Palestine. Pls exercise some humility. Listen more, lecture less. Framing the targeting of soldiers as a “cycle of violence” - rather than resistance 2 apartheid & genocide- while also not demanding US sanctions/arms embargo is asking Palestinians to die politely.
I’m grieving the deaths of the two Israeli soldiers killed in Hebron today, and praying for the full & speedy recovery of those who were injured. I’ve spoken out loudly this week against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, which imposes violence on a daily basis, and I will continue to do so. But violence is not the path to ending it — or to achieving safety, freedom, and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis. And neither is collective punishment or ethnic cleansing of an entire neighborhood, or punishing millions of people for the criminal act of two, which Netanyahu has promised to enact in response. I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image. For now: Shabbat Shalom, to everyone who believes in the hard work of making peace & justice a reality, for everyone.

This is how toxic Israel & AIPAC have become. Rep Pat Ryan is not only swearing them off & voting against “funding Netanyahu’s war crimes,” he’s also returning the $247,574.85 AIPAC has given to his campaign. When an elected gives back 1/4 of a million to anyone - it says toxic!
