As a ghost producer/writer myself, wanted to give some two cents to the conversation. I get two types of clients who want “ghost” or co-production: - DJs who are already massive, have busy touring schedules & don’t always have time to keep up with releasing constantly - Wealthy DJs with almost no following, but want to reap the rewards from the music industry without putting in the work themselves. The first one is more common than people realise, and I usually have a great time working with these clients because they are already deeply artistic people with a vision, but simply no time to wrap up productions. The second client is just pure clout chasing and nothing else - they have the money to spend on talent who can do the work for them, and they reap the rewards themselves. As much as these guys are parasitic in the music business, I’ll still take their money.
