Cancer risk remains significantly elevated for people with HIV for many types of cancer. Proud to have this work out to help inform the role of oncology in HIV care.
Cancer rates among people with HIV have declined for certain types, like non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Kaposi sarcoma, due to improved HIV care, though the risk for other cancers remains largely unchanged. ja.ma/4nhUmZ9

The All of Us paper is rightly being criticized for its UMAP figure, which suggests an overly discrete view of human variation—a problem that is compounded by colouring the plot with self-identified race and then omitting the “self-identified” from the title & legend. 1/n
Love this study design and inclusion of perspectives from people with HIV.
