the release commitment clause is critical but most artists dont realize the second trap: labels will technically "release" the album with zero marketing support to satisfy the clause while effectively burying it. you need both a release commitment AND a minimum marketing spend written into the contract. otherwise theyre just pushing it out to a graveyard
