😴 rest easy - Durable Objects can now wait until they hibernate to apply code updates, giving long-running agent turns time to finish even if you're shipping PRs by the second. developers.cloudflare.com/ch…

A lot of people underestimate just how powerful @Cloudflare is. Or simply don't know what it can do beyond CDN, DNS, and security. It's become one of my favorite platforms to build with, both at work and on my personal projects. One of the biggest reasons I love it is that Cloudflare feels like it was built for the age of AI agents. It gives you pretty much everything you need to build and deploy applications: Workers for compute, D1 for databases, R2 for storage, Queues, Workflows, and much more. All within the same ecosystem, with very little infrastructure to manage. This makes it incredibly easy to build with AI agents. At @railblocks, we're taking this a step further by using Cloudflare as the foundation for the AI-powered operating systems we build for investment firms. We just published an article explaining exactly why we've chosen Cloudflare, the building blocks we use, and how they all fit together. It's definitely worth a read if you're building with AI agents, or simply curious about what Cloudflare can do beyond its traditional use cases!
To work effectively across an entire company, agents need an Operating System. @Cloudflare has the best infrastructure to build it - here's why:

Announcing Railblocks 2.0: AI Operating Systems for Investment Firms 🚆 🏛️ New positioning 🏛️ @railblocks helps family offices, venture capital and private equity funds build their own proprietary AI Operating System: an environment designed to enable reliable, secure, and scalable agentic work. We embed forward deployed engineers inside those firms and create a custom OS for them on top of Cloudflare, using infrastructure technology around data and workflows we've developed in house. 🤝 New founding team 🤝 @EricFriedman and @nmsnow join the Railblocks founding team alongside @Lorenzo__CB, @capeflow and me. After collaborating together as partners on some shared private equity and venture capital clients, it felt more than natural to have them part of the team. They bring tons of network and experience around sales, finance and legal, as well as a local presence in the US (New York), which is Railblocks's primary market today. 🎨 New brand 🎨 To honor this new chapter, we refreshed our brand and website. From a pretty dark and technical aesthetic, we moved to something cleaner and clearer. We call this new brand "Blueprint for Infrastructure", where composability meets infrastructure and craft. I'll share more about the process and the brand later. FULL STEAM AHEAD!

How we deduped 10.000s of CRM records in @airtable in <5 minutes💡 Last week, a @railblocks client handed us 50.000 records from 100 sources in Google Sheets. After importing them into Airtable & creating the data structure, we managed to clean most of its duplicates in under 5 minutes after building a custom script. Preparing the script is what took us time though. Let me guide you through our process:

We're hiring another founding engineer. Literally can't build product fast enough to support the customer demand we're facing. Come help us go even faster. Ideal candidate is a 10/10 on back-end engineering chops:👇 - ~5-8 years of eng experience - strong background in back-end eng (e.g. ETL, syncing data between systems, integrations, etc.) - fintech / regulated industry experience is a plus - some broader full stack skills preferable but not essential - top tier communication skills (written & verbal) - can ship a lot of high-quality code extremely quickly etc. Why should you work with us? Well I've been told by the team that I'm only an asshole... I mean in founder mode... ~50% of the time. And you'd get to work with @schmatzarella + the rest of our team, who are all much smarter and more pleasant than me. More in the screenshot below. Can also share more offline. DMs open. Pls send talented, obsessive craftsman our way. 🙏

New pod on raising a pre-seed with @pablosrugo This is the most tactical internet conversation I've ever had about fundraising. Full show here buzzsprout.com/1889238/15286… Talked about: - how we thought about our raise - the work before we raised (and why this is 80% of a good fundraise) - making a Memo before a Deck - Memo vs Deck and when to use which - getting intros - why oversubscribing can be an intentional strategy - structuring & running a process - how we structured the pitch itself - and a bunch of other FAQs The reality behind startup fundraising is still mostly hidden behind fancy press releases, humble brags on LinkedIn/Twitter, and the general veil of inevitable / strength that most founders project publicly. Very little of the real gets put out there. If you've never been around a fundraise before, it can trigger a ton of anxiety and imposter's syndrome (it did for me). Lot of folks helped me think through it for the first time so hopefully this will help other folks do the same. As always, I'm an N of 1. So if you're about to raise, take this as data. You should never build your whole strategy off one random dude on the internet's tweet or podcast :)

👋 Personal update, I'm launching @IntuitionVC I fall in love with people and ideas. I fell in love with the creator economy and, lately, the loneliness epidemic. But most of all, I fell in love with the extraordinary people bringing these ideas to life: Founders. To be exact, founders building for millions, moving culture. Or what we (carelessly) call "consumer" founders: It's not about consumption, it's about culture. There's something special about these founders. They need special allies who truly get them and genuinely care. I believe this is who @etienneboutan and I are. That's why we're launching @IntuitionVC, a €15M early-stage fund backing founders focused on Consumer & Culture across the US and Europe. Consumer is back! To celebrate, we're starting our journey with a Consumer Tour, co-hosting founder-only gatherings in 7 cities. Join us if you're around! More infos in reply.

We just released a private knowledge index for founders. Under the hood it uses LLMs, GPT, summarization, and much more. Feels like a fundamental shift in the way we use information in our community @beondeck.
3000 founders have sent millions of messages in our Slack community. It’s a treasure trove of startup knowledge but the sheer volume of activity makes it hard to find the right info or get the right response. Today we’re dropping a new tool for On Deck founders — Asks Search.
