When I was a senior in High School they gave us little cards with what our diplomas would look like. Bars would accept it as proof we were 18 if the name matched our ID’s. Initially confused, but it was explained *wink wink* why we’re actually giving these to you.

In order for society to work, be it civilizational or even just a city, there needs to be an unspoken Social Contract. New Orleans is failing because it’s not perceived as providing an attractive enough “promise”.
