"[Knightley] is fittingly cast as Christa-Marie Sieland, the bright, brittle star of the East Berlin theatre scene - all professional sheen and charm until a devastating scene that Knightley performs with wrenching conviction."

if you've read the book you'd know that while elizabeth isn't considered as beautiful as jane, she's has never been considered plain except by caroline who dislikes her and wants to hear herself praised by putting elizabeth down in comparison

frankie in the hole, king arthur's guinevere, juliet in love actually). i mean even yeaaars after this when she had proven herself w many more roles, john maybury randomly blasted her for being a "supermodel" instead of a real actress. it was never that elizabeth should be plain,
This whole thing just shows how a lot of people in fandom are ONLY active in these circles because of the attention they can extract for themselves.
They don’t actually make fanworks as passion projects, but as a way to accrue clout and an “audience”.

for real it would’ve been so understandable of her to straight up kill him but instead she married his ass
why do people who clearly hate austen and don't understand her work at all keep getting called on to adapt her books?? are you insane
well at least they're making things more comic accurate by making every villain origin be because they stole tony's tech or felt like tony stole their tech or their lives were ruined by someone else using tony's tech or
the only person who actually has the right to criticise tony is pepper because she went through absolutely everything with and because of him, from mortal peril to intense grief to stress daily and she still loved him and believed in the good he wanted to do for the world
