Started a substack about my rare-cancer experiences.
There will be some serious entries and some funnier ones - I'll put a warning in the opening paragraph for any that could be too triggering.
Includes lots of references to 🐕 and 🐈 and ⚽.

Rail passengers watching noisy reels, playing music or talking loudly on their phones is the kind of thing that gives people a sense of the enshittification of everything. It's like litter, leaving dogshit or shoplifting, so easy to stop , with penalties and enforcement. It's all a choice.
🏴 pleased to see this. Interested particularly in how to involve rural communities and ensure girls have options that are accessible.

You’ll have heard by now that women’s club football in Europe has an attendance crisis.
But The Cutback’s analysis of attendances over the start of the season across the past three campaigns shows that strong average attendance numbers are highly dependent on ‘big match’ crowds, while median attendances have remained relatively stable.

It really shouldn’t have taken until the 58th minute to kick us into gear but this is all we’ve been asking to see. Energy, fight, passion. A team playing for each other. Confidence we need. A miles better second half felt like we were watching Manchester United again🇾🇪 #MUFC

Ciara Mageean died this morning. A light has gone out in the world. Authentic, talented, decent. Her kindness and wonderful personality was a joy to watch and see. Then came her iconic sporting achievements.
When we sat down with Ciara for the GAA Social in July, she received disappointing news the day before. Ciara didn’t want to cancel, so we recorded on the Tuesday. It’s 90 minutes Oisin & myself will always treasure. She was the best of us.
To Thomas, I’m so sorry. She was mad about you. To the Mageean family, all her great friends and the Portaferry community- what a stunning human being, to call one of your own. This is so unfair.
I’ve never met a person who met Ciara, who didn’t love her. A one off.
