Hey guys, today I have some heartbreaking news to share. The @base advocate program will come to an end as mentioned in the announcements I wanted to make an statement from my side I became an advocate 3 years and 5 months ago and was introduced by none other than @jessepollak himself and @wbnns when the community was small (only a few thousand had joined) and we grew it to a total standing of 550k+ members as I write this message. the program started as just a few helpful contributors initially before @svmvn was hired and took over the program, we then accelerated in support and had some of the best ticketing/support system in the industry with replies to tickets under a minute thanks to our advocates. @svmvn was super encouraging and supported us all into making this happen, alongside some of the other great team members Simon is definitely one of the best people/managers I’ve ever had the privilege to work with in my career. A few years of growing the community, We then took over the @base reddit from a dead community (someone unrelated owned the reddit and we took over it) we grew it from 3-4 k members to 95k+ (big shout out Isabella! She is the goat and one of the best people i’ve ever worked with in this industry and out) Unfortunately, today marks the end of this journey, we fought hard to keep this program for everyone but sadly the team made their decision Love you all, and it was a pleasure being your @base lead. I’ll still support you all in your careers as always, base or not all contributors will go far šŸ’™ Stayed Based šŸ˜Ž

After 13+ tickets and a viral Reddit post, my ban was lifted. Every ticket the "support agent" stated the ban was correct and wouldn’t be reviewed. It was impossible to get a human to review my case. How are players supposed to get a real review without going public? @RiotSupport @riotgames @drewlevin @RiotZac @Vandiril
Same problem here, my account was suspended for "interacting with riot's games or services with unauthorized third party tools" then when I reached out to their support they told me a conflicting reason saying it was for "verbal abuse" Seems like they might be testing out a new AI Anti-cheat or something as this issue has been quite common for a lot of people recently and the AI most likely is hallucinating (this is just assumptions) I've submitted multiple support tickets and have been told the decision is final. Info about the acc : The account is new and was made 2 weeks ago, I bought the signature Tristana skin on it from level 1 and hand leveled it It is a bit strange that the reasons are constantly being changed for the ban and it is impossible to get someone to actually look into this case, I am sure if they got a human on this they will see I did neither of these things lol. I've submitted 4 tickets so far to no avail, I am constantly being told the penalty was placed correctly and will remain. Is it possible to get someone to manually check this case? No verbal abuse has taken place nor have I used unauthorized third party applications to interact with Riot. username: yordle diff#gap @drewlevin @RiotSupport @Vandiril @riotgames

Gets permanently banned for supposedly using third-party tools to cheat. Support has confirmed multiple times that he cheated. Then gets unbanned without any explanation. Okay.

Thank you @wbnns for helping create such an awesome program that recognised and rewarded the countless hours community members were putting into supporting base. šŸ’™ The fact that the program continued to thrive almost independently, with @svmvn's leadership, even after you left is a testament to the strong foundations you built and the lasting impact you made on the @base community. And lastly and most importantly, much love to all the advocates and recruits who made this program possible, ya'll are the reason why the Base advocacy thrived the way it did 🤲 P.S. As you once said, "It all starts with a great community of standout people like you all." šŸ’™šŸ‘‡

I’ve been getting a lot of messages and mentions about the Based Advocate program. While I’m no longer at Base, I wanted to recognize the people behind it who I had the pleasure of working with The program started three years ago to recognize helpful, impactful community members who showed up every day in Discord. We later expanded to Reddit, growing to around 100 advocates worldwide, representing many different languages and backgrounds Together, they helped grow and support a Discord community of ~600k and a Reddit community of ~100k Many participated in our decentralized support and ticketing system, collectively resolving hundreds, sometimes thousands, of tickets each week. Many were volunteers. Beyond support, they were in the channels every day, answering questions, welcoming people, and keeping conversations going I’m sad to see the program sunset. Many of these contributors have been with Base for years, dedicating hours every week because they wanted to be part of something and help it grow. They deserve recognition for the time and care they put into this community If any company or project is looking for moderators or community contributors, please reach out. I’d be happy to connect you with some great people šŸ’™

Most people talk about smart contracts when discussing automation in Web3. But there is another part that deserves attention: who handles the computation needed before a contract can act? Think about a prediction market with thousands of users waiting for a result. The settlement rules may already be written onchain, but determining the outcome can involve external data, complex computation and verification. Until those steps are completed, the market cannot move forward. This is where @fermah_xyz gets interesting. Fermah is building a proof market where applications can send ZK proving workloads to distributed compute providers. Instead of every protocol having to manage all the proving infrastructure on its own, the workload can be handled through a system designed to coordinate available computing resources. The matchmaker plays an important role here. It connects workloads with suitable providers by considering factors such as hardware availability, computational requirements and provider pricing. Once the computation is completed, a ZK proof can help the application verify that the required calculations followed the specified rules. Now think about what this could mean for different applications. A prediction market could use verifiable computation as part of its resolution process. A DeFi protocol could incorporate proofs into more complex workflows. AI agents could use verified computational results before moving to their next action. None of this means every process becomes fully autonomous overnight. Applications still need reliable inputs, appropriate verification rules and mechanisms to execute the final action. A proof cannot guarantee that the original data was truthful. But it can help separate the work of performing a computation from the process of verifying its correctness. That is an important distinction when applications need to process increasingly complex workloads without requiring every protocol to build its own proving infrastructure. I also think Fermah's distributed model is worth watching as demand grows. More workloads will require more compute capacity, and the ability to coordinate providers efficiently will matter for both cost and performance. The bigger opportunity is giving developers access to proof generation as infrastructure they can build around, rather than treating it as a problem every application must solve independently. For Web3 to support more automated applications, computation needs to be practical, verification needs to be reliable, and the infrastructure connecting both needs to scale. Fermah is working on that infrastructure layer. The interesting part will be seeing how it performs as more real workloads move through the network. @7wealthh
One interesting part of @fermah_xyz is its matchmaker, because it directly affects the cost of generating a ZK proof. Think about it this way. A project needs a proof, and multiple compute providers have GPUs available to handle the work. The matchmaker connects that demand with the right available resources. But it is not just about finding an idle GPU. It needs to consider the proving system, computational workload, available hardware, current network load and the price providers are willing to accept. Why does this matter? If workloads are assigned poorly, some GPUs sit idle while others get overloaded. Projects can end up paying more than necessary, while compute providers miss opportunities to earn. With multiple providers competing for workloads, better matching can improve hardware utilization and help prices reflect actual supply and demand. ZK proving can be expensive, especially when a workflow involves hundreds of jobs. Even small improvements in how those jobs are assigned can make a difference at scale. That is why I find Fermah's approach interesting. The matchmaker helps turn proof generation into a more efficient compute market, where projects can access resources without relying entirely on fixed infrastructure. The real test is how well it performs as more workloads and compute providers join the network. @7wealthh

People don’t realise how insane this is. I tried ElevenLabs v4 without specifying how to deliver the lines. The emotion and tone it picked up on its own genuinely caught me off guard. Try it with a voice you know well. You’ll see what I mean.
