Daimler closes truck manufacturing plant in north Portland; Lays off 375 workers.
A truck manufacturing plant in northwest Portland closed for good on Friday, laying off almost 400 workers.
Daimler Truck North America made the announcement in July, saying 375 positions would be eliminated.
In July, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union issued a statement in response:
βOur employerβs decision to leave the Portland area does not remove the heart and soul that our members have put into their work at Daimler. And the IAM will support and fight for our members regardless of any decision their employer makes.β
Daimler Truck will shut Portland factory, lay off 375 and move production to the East Coast

We just lost 575 jobs and $115M+ annually in wages in portland.
Unfortunately, that's only part of the story.
When you include local suppliers, Daimler's decision will wipe out more than 1,200 Living Wage jobs.
And that's just the beginning.
Every lost job means less spending in local shops, cafΓ©s, restaurants, and services, putting even more small businesses and jobs at risk.
This isn't an isolated setbackβit's the predictable outcome of years of anti-business policies from the DSA government that have made Portland a less attractive place to invest, expand, and create high-quality jobs.
Investment goes where it's welcome, and right now Portland is sending the opposite message.
The government needs to change direction immediately.
If it doesn't, the economic doom loop of lost investment, lost jobs, and declining local economies will only accelerateβand it will become far harder to reverse.
This due to high crime, high taxes, failing schools, high Utilty cost and anti business City and State.

I am a Brazilian journalist, and I have been closely following the criminal investigations involving FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro, the son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
Reuters reported on October 27 that FlΓ‘vio left Brazil for the United States after losing the presidential election, despite a Brazilian Supreme Court order requiring him to surrender his passports.
Now I have a question:
Will American taxpayers be forced to pay for the protection of a Brazilian politician facing serious criminal investigations?
Before anyone screams βpolitical persecution,β here are the actual case numbers. You can look them up yourselves.
1. BANCO MASTER, DARK HORSE AND SUSPECTED MONEY LAUNDERING
Brazilian Supreme Court (STF)
Case: INQ 5,070
Full docket: 0181367-57.2026.1.00.0000
Related proceedings: PET 16,369 and INQ 5,026.
Federal investigators are examining suspected money laundering, corruption and illegal international financial transactions involving the financing of Dark Horse, a film about Jair Bolsonaro.
The investigation involves financial dealings with Daniel Vorcaro, the former controller of Banco Master.
2. SUSPECTED FINANCIAL LINKS TO THE PCC DRUG-TRAFFICKING ORGANIZATION
Brazilian Superior Electoral Court (TSE)
Case: AIJE 0603371-06.2026.6.00.0000
Filed October 23, 2026.
This electoral lawsuit questions whether millions of dollars transferred through companies and investment funds linked to the Dark Horse financing network indirectly benefited FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaroβs presidential campaign.
One company involved in the financial transactions was also identified in investigations concerning suspected money laundering connected to the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital), one of Brazilβs largest criminal organizations.
The lawsuit seeks the annulment of Bolsonaroβs candidacy or election certification and an eight-year disqualification.
To be absolutely clear: the alleged connection between the money and the PCC is under investigation. It has not been judicially established that the PCC financed the film or his campaign.
3. WILLER TOMAZ AND ONLINE GAMBLING
A separate investigation before Brazilβs Supreme Court, overseen by Justice Alexandre de Moraes, examines suspected money laundering involving attorney Willer Tomaz, a close friend of FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro.
Investigators are examining financial transactions involving gambling companies, payment platforms and businesses connected to Tomaz.
The exact court docket number has not been publicly verified.
4. THE RACHADINHA CORRUPTION CASE
Rio de Janeiro State Court (TJ-RJ)
Case: 0072696-34.2020.8.19.0000
Prosecutors formally accused FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro of crimes including embezzlement, money laundering and participation in a criminal organization involving alleged diversion of public employeesβ salaries.
The charges were dismissed in 2022 after evidence was ruled inadmissible.
There was no conviction, but there was also no trial determining whether the alleged conduct occurred.
5. RODRIGO BACELLAR AND COMANDO VERMELHO
Brazilian Supreme Court
Case: PET 14,959
Full docket: 0123047-48.2025.1.00.0000
Rodrigo Bacellar, a political ally of FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro, was arrested and later became a criminal defendant in proceedings concerning alleged obstruction of a police operation targeting Comando Vermelho, another major Brazilian drug-trafficking organization.
6. MΓRCIO CANELLA AND ORGANIZED CRIME
Electoral case: RO-El 0601451-66.2026.6.19.0000
Another political ally supported by FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro, MΓ‘rcio Canella, was arrested during an investigation into suspected organized-crime-related money laundering involving fuel businesses.
Brazilian electoral prosecutors have also questioned his candidacy over alleged connections to militias and Comando Vermelho.
These are separate proceedings involving Bolsonaroβs allies, not criminal charges against FlΓ‘vio himself. π§΅

1.) There is no definition of a "trans person" other than "someone who claims to be the sex they are not."
"Being trans" requires no psychological gatekeeping on principle; indeed, the practice of differential diagnosis has given way to its opposite, compelled affirmation by any and all, including "medical professionals" whose duty is to accept any person's claim to be the sex they are not, and start them on a course of hormonal interventions with volatile effects on cognition and mood if the person requests it.
2.) Transgender identities have always been mentally comorbid with other mood and personality disorders and sexual paraphilias (which cluster). There is a high incidence of autism, depression, anxiety, disordered eating and cutting in this mentally comorbid cohort, along with suicidal ideation.
3.) Transgender identities are rebellious and oppositional adolescent postures that naturally attract troubled and disaffected children with identity issues. Indeed, rather than being seen by clinicians as the product of other comorbidities, wherever it is claimed, "minority stress" becomes the favored explanation for all other comorbidities, with social affirmation and gender medicalization being prioritized, leaving other diagnoses and treatments for the underlying distress that manifests as trans identity unaddressed. Trans identification piles atop all these unaddressed problems, the inherent stresses and difficulties of making your self-esteem radically dependent on others accepting you as something you are not, making daily life a gauntlet of humiliations for the vast majority of trans identified people who do not pass as the sex they are not.
4.) Adopting a transgender identity comes with a host of social and political privileges and immunities; you acquire the right to violate sex-based boundaries based on a claim to be something you are not; you obtain deference to imperious demands that other people affirm an inner conception of yourself that you claim to have. It's a great tool to bully and control other people and a great way to extract special treatment either compelled by law or offered voluntarily by believers in transgender dogmas and therefore exerts a gravitational pull not just on fragile narcissists seeking to buttress a weak and dissociated sense of self but also on malignant narcissists and psychopaths who will flow toward social affordance that grants them power over others.
5.) The movement relies on emotional blackmail and threats of suicide in the first instance -- when parents are told that failure to consent to transgender medicalization presents a virtual certainty of suicide -- and relies on hysterical, histrionic, hyperbole claims to create ingroup solidarity through a compelling LARP and to extract further tribute from the political apparatus in thrall to them. Transgender ideologues routinely equate excluding men from women's volleyball teams or domestic violence shelters or accurate verbal references to the material fact of a person's sex with "genocide," thereby teaching troubled and mentally comorbid young people that mass violence is self-defense against genocide.
The photo on the left is of two of one of two film director brothers who began claiming to be women after immersion in transgender porn and BDSM subcultures claiming that JK Rowling's exclusion of men from a women's domestic violence shelter is genocidal. The photo on the right is of an 18-year old who had been affirmed as a "girl" since the age of 12, an intervention purported to protect him against the risk of suicide, who murdered his murder and brother and six people at a middle school in a rural town in British Columbia.
The photo of him posing with a gun with a trans flag wrapped around its muzzle was sent right before his murder rampage to another trans-identified male in the US, who egged him on in reply, who has been charged as a co-conspirator in the murder. US prosecutors released the photo which Canadian police hid. Canadian media continues to refer to both the mass murderer and his accomplice as "women," honoring the gender identities of two male "partners in crime," since affirming transgender identities takes priority over providing a factual account of who the murderers of Canadian children actually are.

I distinctly remember multiple cities getting burned down all summer and having Black Lives Matter force fed into every sporting event for two years straight.

No Al Sharpton. No protests. No media coverage. No press conferences.
Nada.
An autistic black guy got framed for terrorism and has sat in a jail cell for over a year. Video evidence appears to exonerate him completely. None of them care even slightly.
Worse, Trump has let one of his supporters rot so that the CIA can get away with a false flag on American soil meant to criminalize the entire MAGA movement.
