Fun Fact: More women have credibly accused Donald Trump of sexual assault than non-citizens have voted in federal elections

Only Trump can save Putin. Goodbye to US sanctions. Every GOP running for office must be confronted with this egregious act of supporting genocidal war in Ukraine, especially at the moment when Putin shifted all his fire power to killing civilians.
Trump saves the day for Putin. Just as Ukraine was changing the direction of the war by inflicting real economic pain on Putin by hitting his oil refineries, Trump steps in and agrees to buy Russian diesel. Now Trump can say that Ukraine is bombing American interests and they better stop. Up until today, there was a real chance of an unspoken aerial cease fire if Russian could no longer tolerate the pain, but that has now disappeared

Another way to think about Trump announcement today: If he increased US diesel imports from Canada by 4%, he would gain as much fuel as from this Russia deal. But the Canadians are global super-villains, so who wants to buy from them when you could enrich Putin instead?

Jack Smith looked the Senate in the eye today: "I will not be silenced."
He says his evidence proved criminal conduct beyond a reasonable doubt, and he'd charge Trump again.

I wonder whether the federal government of the United States — of which @JDVance serves as Vice President — can credibly claim to uphold the rule of law and justice while simultaneously targeting judges and prosecutors of the International Criminal Court. In my view, this kind of conduct is unheard of in any democracy on earth. @IntlCrimCourt @amanpour

As Deputy Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, Nazhat Shameem Khan has found herself under US sanctions. She explains to me the reality of what that means, from being unable to access a credit card to health insurance to the impact on her family. Nonetheless, she tells me, she has hope for the future of international law: “Every single member of this court works for humanity, and there can be nothing better than that.”

I keep fucking reading “treat USA fairly” what does that even mean??? Trump signed USMCA and stood on stage with media all around and called it the best deal he’s ever made. Americans would prosper. He then ripped it up… so how exactly has Canada mistreated the U.S??

Getting really sick of people calling proportional retaliation ‘escalation’. Whether it’s Ukraine or Canada, that’s nonsense. Refusing to bend over and take it is not escalation. It’s called ‘having a spine’.

Canadian soldier Mark Anthony Graham was killed on Sept 4, 2006 in Afghanistan. He and 158 of our fellow Canadians died fighting to protect the U.S. after it was attacked on September 11th. Canada wasn’t attacked that day but we were the 1st to answer America’s call for help. 🇨🇦

One of the lowest points in American history.
Two grifting scumbags, representing financial interests of the US President, groveling before a mass murdering dictator that's currently helping Iran murder Americans and waging war against every American ally that's fought alongside the US, all for promises of lucrative business deals that Putin will never give them.

Witkoff has been laundering money for the Russian mafia for decades along with his friend Donald Trump, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. This is a combination of treason, conflict of interest, and sheer corruption never seen at this level of geopolitics.
Witkoff: "President Putin, thank you so much for having us. We were sitting outside just now, me, Jared, Kirill, Yuri, and we were talking about, when we retire, we'll have all these incredible stories and memories, and yours will be right at the top of it all."
Just sickening! So much butt-licking toward a literal war criminal.
Your stories will be of trying to force the victim of horrible aggression to surrender while cozying up to the biggest monster of our time.

lol... it's not funny, but it is funny that they are literally running the exact same playbook in Canada as Putin did in Ukraine leading up to the full war.
Get a few secessionists to start feigning oppression, talk about seceding, then the imperial force (US in this case), starts pounding that drum manufacturing an international coalition advocating for annexing that portion of the target nation's sovereignty.
lol -- it's terrifying in their intent, but laughable in the transparent nature of it.

Q: Michael, your reaction to President Trump saying that U.S. struck a deal taking control of a huge portion of Venezuela’s oil reserves?
McFAUL: This is imperialism. This is 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th century imperialism.
When countries in the North went to countries in the South and used military power and military force to extract gold, silver, spices, oil.
That’s what President Trump is doing with this deal.
I’m embarrassed as an American to be associated with a government that is doing this.
The whole world will react the same way.
Venezuelan people are reacting that way because the second thing that’s so outrageous about this deal is that Trump has done it with a dictator.
Delcy Rodríguez has no legitimacy inside Venezuela. She’s never been elected to anything.
She was vice president under Maduro.
And yet that’s the person we’re doing this deal with, leaving out the preferences of the citizens of Venezuela.
I think it’s a really bad deal, and I don’t think it’s going to work.
If you’re on the board of any serious company, are you going to invest hundreds of billions of dollars when your property rights are guaranteed by Trump and illegitimate dictator of Venezuela?
To me, that’s a very imprudent decision, and my prediction is this will fall apart.

We should have learned from Brexit; if you treat the propaganda and troll networks as a speech issue rather than a coercive and realtime security threat then the manipulation of the population will never end. Running factchecks isn’t enough; halting propaganda mills needs action.

Far too little discussion that the main assistance given to Russia this year came from the United States.
Russia was on the ropes, with oil prices heading into 40's, Ukraine getting enough interceptors. Then Trump suicided US and other nations' weapons supplies, sent oil prices soaring and took sanctions off Russia just long enough for them to sell off the record amount of stranded floating crude oil at top prices.
Now Kyiv is bring freely devastated, 24/7 massacres and the US whining about Ukraine hitting ships on the Black Sea.
Trump is purely Putin's dog.
