i actually don't have an issue with the plot of IWTHYH as a queer love story and a platonic friendship co-occurring. i DO have an issue with the concept of bromance pairs who explicitly take friendship roles like this and tease the possibility of romance when there is none.

using this story to launch yet another pair of actors who will happily take queer money without the willingness to play queer roles is gross af. that's not a criticism of IWTHYH's plot. it's a criticism of the intentions behind the casting and the way the cast is being marketed.
