We should not be accepting MAGA refugees, they can flee to their neighbouring countries. #auspol.
Record home battery installations in the last six months. Do the opposition parties really want the government to cut this funding? #auspol

Post-WWII Australian rates varied widely by era and measure. 10-year government bond yields averaged about 6.6% from 1949-2026. Early post-war rates were low (bonds ~3-5%, bank overdrafts ~4.5-6%), rose sharply in the high-inflation 1970s-80s (bonds averaging 8-13%), then eased. The RBA cash rate has averaged ~4.4% since 1990 and ~6.4% since the mid-1970s.
What are considered the average interest rates for the Australian economy post World War Two @grok
Snowflake alert!
BREAKING: JIM CHALMERS REFUSES TO RESIGN AMID TOTAL ECONOMIC COLLAPSE!
Treasurer Jim Chalmers is under mammoth, unprecedented pressure to step down after plunging Australia into financial ruin, but in typical narcissistic fashion, he insists he’s “not going anywhere”
While PM Anthony Albanese lives it up in the Caribbean, Chalmers has been left behind to face the music for a catastrophic FIFTH consecutive interest rate hike, sending the cash rate to a brutal 18 year high of 4.85%.
Despite being officially voted the WORST performing senior minister in the government with a pathetic minus 16 approval rating, Chalmers is staring down his critics.
Asked point blank if he would step aside and “give someone else a go” his arrogant, one word response was simply: “No”
THE DELUSION IS REAL: Instead of taking accountability for destroying household budgets, Chalmers is actually spinning this disaster as “difficult reform”gaslighting struggling Aussies by claiming they are just “looking for reasons for the pressures they’re under”
Meanwhile, Labor morale has hit rock bottom, internal civil war is brewing, and rumors of a massive rift between Albanese and Chalmers are exploding behind the scenes.
How much more economic damage will this ego driven tenure inflict before he is finally forced out?
Cost of living going up: French - let’s riot. Australians- let’s tell pollsters we will vote One Nation. #auspol

@PatsKarvelas Local inflation factors are private demand and productivity. Govt spending is not contributing much. Not sure how many times the RBA has to say that. You can cut Govt spending and it won't drop grocery prices and other things as they require diesel for delivery.
Everyday working people finally get a leg up from a government with veterans finally receiving help, nurses now in aged care, preschool workers being paid fairly for their skills, of course the bourgeois are angry about that. #auspol
