Congratulations, @BronsonK_24, on your home state of #Wisconsin winning the @MLB championship with the @Brewers‼️#BrewCrew #BronsonFromWisconsin
As you may know, my American Negro New Boston, Texas-born maternal great-great-grandfather, George Yarber, Sr., died in @CityofRacine, Wisconsin (which is part of the Milwaukee Combined Statistical Area (CSA)), on Valentine's Day in my father's birth year of 1955, and was peacefully laid to rest at Racine's "Graceland Cemetery."
My maternal great-great-grandfather, George Yarber, Sr., was born on July 13, 1895, in New Boston, Texas, and, on March 19, 1915, he married the former Lillie Gleason, a mulatress born in 1897 in Ashdown, Arkansas. George and Lillie bore several children including my mulatto-identified maternal great-grandfather, Charles "Charley" Mack Yarber, who was himself born in 1920 in Wewoka, Seminole County, Oklahoma. Charley's other siblings include my Texas-born great-granduncle George Yarber, Jr., my Oklahoma-born great-grandaunt Lena Yarber Givens, my Kansas-born great-granduncle Garfield Yarber, and my great-grandaunt Beatrice Yarber. My great-great-grandparents also welcomed sons Nathaniel and Edward who unfortunately perished in infancy.
After my maternal great-great-grandmother Lillie's untimely death, my great-great-grandfather George moved his young family to Wisconsin, where he resided with my great-great-granduncle and George's younger brother Sylvester Yarber and Sylvester's Kentucky-born wife, Margaret.
On the 1920 United States Census in my great-grandfather Charley's native Oklahoma, my great-great-grandmother Lillie was listed "mulatto" as were my aforementioned great-grandfather, Charley, and Charley's siblings who were born before the Racial Integrity Laws of 1924 - 1930 including George Yarber, Jr. and Lena Yarber Givens. In 1930 Wisconsin, my great-great-grandfather George and his posterity are all listed as "Negro."
On another "note" (see what I did there?), Omro Town, Wisconsin-based music critic Matthew Forss of "Review You CD Reviews" penned positive written critiques for my debut full-length studio album, "The Art of Céran," my full-length sophomore studio album, "Verity," as well as my best-of compilation album, "The Ultimate: The Essential Anthology of Céran," which can be browsed here: youtube.com/@ceranmusic/post…
#OTD 25 years ago in 2001, my paternal second cousin once removed and @Stanford and @UCDavis-educated Dr. Felicia Mae Toé, M.D., MPH (née Tillman), married the Burkinabè high royalty prince Ahmed Toé in Dallas County, Texas. Also, #OTD 24 years ago in 2002, @xtina released her proper sophomore studio album, "Stripped." "Beautiful" and the B-Side, "I Will Be" to the leadoff "Stripped" track in "Dirrty" (which was released on my father's 47th birthday) inspired my original "Verity" leadoff single "Open Road," which received acclaim from music critics such as Omro Town, Wisconsin's Matthew Forss of "Review You CD Reviews" and @PhiladelphiaGov, Pennsylvania's Alex Henderson (@billboard, @allmusic).
I also elaborate further on Felicia and Ahmed in my @joshgroban-arrangement-inspired cover of Édith Piaf's "Hymne À l'Amour": youtube.com/watch?v=VQcSNUOY…
