The state of officiating in the womenโs s game is just appalling. This is Mary Earps on Wednesday night when it was 0-0, deliberately handling the ball to stop Shazza from knocking it past and scoring. Should have been a red, ref just ignored it! #cpfc
Tbh Sio keeps this play alive, so both our subs stepped up here โจ๏ธ
Wtf. You ppl are in crisis mode
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/
You mean to tell me that a 27 year old player who is in her prime is performing better than a 22 year old currently struggling with confidence after coming back from a season riddled with injuries?well I am truly shocked, thank you for this insightful journalistic research
Two very different nights for two England strikers.

๐จ๐จ๐จBREAKING: FRENCH PRESIDENT ADDRESSES THE MBAPPร SAGA AND WARNS OF POSSIBLE ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES
โLet me make something very clear. France has no intention of turning a football controversy into an international crisis. But we will also not sit quietly and watch a French citizen become the target of an escalating campaign over an internet meme.
We have watched the apologies, the statements, the outrage, and the demands for further explanations. At some point, we must ask ourselves a very simple question: what exactly does China want from Kylian Mbappรฉ?
He is a footballer, not a diplomat. He is not responsible for managing relations between Paris and Beijing, and he certainly did not wake up one morning intending to provoke an entire nation.
France respects China. We respect its people, its culture, and its institutions. But respect must work in both directions. You cannot demand respect from another country while refusing to extend the same courtesy to its citizens.
And let me be clear about something else. France does not negotiate its dignity under pressure.
If this situation continues to escalate, if further commercial decisions are taken against French interests, and if this controversy becomes a pretext for targeting French individuals and businesses, then our response will no longer be limited to statements from the รlysรฉe Palace.
We have diplomatic channels. We have economic partnerships. We have strategic interests. And we have the ability to reconsider the terms on which those relationships operate.
I do not want an economic confrontation with China. Nobody should want that. Such a confrontation could hurt businesses, workers, investors, and consumers in both countries. But avoiding a confrontation cannot mean accepting unlimited pressure without consequences.
So my message to Beijing is simple: this madness must stop before it becomes something neither country can easily control.
Give diplomacy a chance. Allow this controversy to end. Let football remain football.
Because if certain people believe that France will be intimidated into silence, they have seriously misunderstood the position of this country.
We are prepared to cooperate with China. We are prepared to resolve disagreements through dialogue. But if dialogue is replaced with economic pressure and public humiliation, France will be prepared to protect its interests with measures proportionate to the situation.
And I sincerely hope that nobody forces us to reach that point.โ
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The lengthy quote attributed to the French president is fabricated; no such statement or warning has been issued by Macron or the รlysรฉe. The underlying Mbappรฉ-China controversy is real but unrelated to any French government response.
