Wow, my feed has gotten way better. I wasn't sure if the people I followed just stopped posting, or if the algorithm was completely juiced for viral content.

The GoodMetrics MCP server is now live! Connect your analytics to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible assistant. Then just ask questions in plain english to get your answers.

Finally upgraded my MacBook Pro and went back to a 14" screen. When I'm working from home, I'm mostly hooked up to a monitor. And when I'm traveling, I'm not really doing deep work anyways. I just found the 16" bulky and mostly unnecessary. Much prefer the smaller profile.

AI won't replace plumbers anytime soon, but it helped me diagnose and fix my A/C. Last night the unit stopped cooling and the safety switch shut down the condenser. After some photo-based troubleshooting we traced it to a clogged condensate drain. Saved me a service call.

Massive changes are coming to @SnappaHQ. We started this business back in 2015 and revenue was up and to the right until we hit a peak of $1.5M ARR in 2021. However, we've struggled since then for a variety of reasons: - Social media shifting more towards video - Fierce competition from funded competitors - A failed refactor and the product not keeping up The bleed was slow enough to ignore at first, but we can no longer sit idle and let our distribution and brand go to waste. As a result, we're overhauling Snappa from the ground up, and launching an AI-first graphic editor (with video support in the future). Work is progressing nicely and we'll have a beta out for existing customers soon. Existing customers will also be able to continue using the legacy editor if they want to. It's a bit scary to undergo such a massive change, but it's more clear than ever that we need to move in this direction. Excited to share more soon.

A potential GoodMetrics customer recently told me: “I don’t want to log in to another dashboard.” I get it. And it points to a big shift happening in software that I’m experiencing myself. A lot of people don't want another SaaS app to log into. They want the data to come to them in the tools they’re already using. So today, we shipped the GoodMetrics API. Now you can pull analytics data into your own reports or internal tools. It also works with AI tools like Claude Code and Codex. Give them the docs, an API key, and let them do their thing. A CLI and MCP Server are also on the way 🚀

Bye bye WordPress 👋 Moved the Snappa blog to a custom Astro site and never looking back. It's now incredibly more efficient to manage the site with Claude Code, and we'll never have to worry about plugins ever again. I see very few reasons to launch a new site with WP.

One-click filters are now live in GoodMetrics. Small addition, but it makes drilling into your data way faster.

I’ve been really enjoying the new Panel podcast with @JordanGal @mijustin and @CasJam. Definitely worth adding to the rotation if you’re a bootstrapped SaaS founder.

New in GoodMetrics: IP blocking and country filtering 🚫 Two things that quietly mess with your reports: 1. Internal traffic from your own team 2. Visitors from countries you don't even serve Now you can block both and get a clearer picture of what's actually going on.

The SEO playbook that took us to $1.5M ARR at Snappa is harder to run in 2026. 4 sponsored results that look organic and AI overviews eating top-of-funnel queries. Even if you rank #1, you're the 5th link on the page. | SEO isn't dead, but it likely can't be your only channel.

My thoughts on profit sharing for bootstrapped startups 👇
For what it's worth, we did this at Snappa and regretted it. When growth stalled and then declined, I felt terrible when profit share bonuses kept shrinking. Eventually we just got rid of it and returned to just a flat salary. Even if you tell people that bonuses are extra and performance driven, they inevitably start factoring that into their total comp. And if their total comp decreases through no fault of their own (ie company struggles), it really sucks. It also creates extra burden of calculating the bonuses, determining what splits are fair, how much seniority matters, etc. For very mature companies I can see the value, but for bootstrapped startups I wouldn't recommend it. I'd just focus on hiring great people and paying them a fair/good salary.

I remember grabbing coffee with @lakikentaki last year. He was just getting into vibe coding and was shipping a new app every week. Fast forward to today and he's working at @Lovable and just went on Lenny's podcast. Good things happen when you put stuff out in the world.
It feels surreal. I've dreamt of working at @Lovable from the minute I sent my first prompt and built my first ever app. I was a massive @lennysan fan, and now proud to say I am his most recent guest! This is my #SuperBowlLX Sunday! 🤣 If you wanted to know about the background of how I got hired by Lovable, what I do, how I build, what I am focusing on... and what I will likely be 95% wrong about (because who knows really what will happen with this AI thing) - have a quick peek at it :) youtube.com/watch?v=0XNkUdzx…

My wife and I are seeding 25M kids with $250 each, and the government is giving newborns $1,000. 🇺🇸🚀 To claim your child's "Future Wealth" starter pack, you must file IRS Form 4547. Don’t let them start at zero. Claim it here: irs.gov/instructions/i4547
