Drones need centimeter precision. Drones need @GEODNET
Drones are now widely used in agricultural spraying, seeding, pest control, disinfecting and sanitizing. This is one at work [πŸ“Ή agrobrutta]

2027 gonna be a big year @HyfixAI @GEODNET
How precise is the HYFIX H1P heading? Heading error sounds small in degrees, so here is what it means. Fly a drone 500 m on a heading that is off by 2Β°, which is easy to get from a magnetic compass near motors and wiring, and you end up about 17 m to the side of where you aimed. At 0.2Β°, it's about 1.7 m. We tested the H1P next to two other leading dual-antenna GNSS receivers. Each was stationary and compared with a reference: the average heading measured with antennas 2 m apart. With antennas 1 m apart, H1P's typical heading error was 0.18Β°, about 1.6 m of sideways offset over 500 m. At 50 cm spacing it was 0.27Β°, about 2.4 m. H1P sits in the same class as the other receivers we tested. At 20 cm spacing every receiver widens to around 1Β°, because a shorter baseline turns the same measurement noise into a bigger angle. Why it matters: a compass points to magnetic north, and anything magnetic nearby can pull it away. Dual-antenna GNSS heading doesn't use the magnetic field at all. It's measured from the satellites, it's already true north, and it works while the drone sits still. The plot shows each receiver's heading spread around the reference direction. A narrower arc means steadier heading.

How close is the accuracy? Don’t want my neighbor getting my fries! @GEODNET
DoorDash is bringing autonomous drones into food delivery with its new DoorDash Air initiative. Early trials have delivered restaurant orders in under five minutes, with Chipotle, Popeyes, and other eateries participating. The company plans to launch pilot deliveries in Northern California, exploring a faster way to get meals to customers.

So many drones coming in need of @GEODNET and @Delphi_Digital is well aware. nitter.cf/stanleytang/status/210…
GEODNET is building the positioning layer for physical AI. Its correction data gives drones, farm machinery and surveying equipment centimeter-level accuracy. That data comes from about 22K base stations that operators have installed across 174 countries. @GEODNET counted more than 150 enterprise customers on that network in August. Equipment and software partners extend that base, since a single integration can put the service in front of many end users. Positioning is an ongoing need for those customers and much of their spending recurs. Revenue reached an estimated $2.8M in Q3, more than double the $1.2M from a year earlier. Physical AI will put more robots, farm equipment and drones to work outdoors, and each needs accurate positioning to do useful work.

I want my @DoorDash delivered to my precise location @GEODNET
This is DoorDash Air. As a pilot, I can tell you that you wouldn’t build a plane and then ask if it can carry cargo. So we built @DoorDash Air from the ground up, designed around what 13 years of deliveries have taught us: what people order, how much it weighs, and how far it has to travel. Our drones are as silent as a passing car and early tests show that we’ve gotten flight delivery times in under ~5 mins on average, so you can get your @chipotletweets & @popeyes (our first partners) and local favorites right to you, fast. The first deliveries will be in NorCal. We proved autonomy works on the ground. Now see how it works in the sky.
